Another not-so-bad deal that came out of the St. Louis Spirits short life was a young sportscaster who was brought to St. Louis to cover the team. He was young, right out of college, but he knew his stuff.
When the Spirits folded, KMOX, the local CBS outlet and former flagstaff station for the team decided to keep the young man on. His name is Bob Costas. I believe he's actually made more money than the former Spirits owners, although he has had to work for it.
He's made a lot of money but I don't think he's made anywhere near the amount the former Spirits owners are making. He has, however, made a lot more people happy watching his broadcasts.
