your entire argument for the demise of Ron Paul rests on pre-primary polling - wow. have a look at pre-primary polling from previous elections - you may want to change your tune. all other evidence (and logic) screams \"significant libertarian movement\". but you simply ignore all of that stuff.
paul supporters will vote in the primaries. paul will run well in most early states. paul will be at the GOP convention in sept.
libertarians are rising to take power away from the christofascists and fiscal adolescents that have run the GOP (and the country) into the ground... wake up - you're on the wrong side of the argument and history.

Forty percent to 50 percent would be more realistic, considering the real estate crash now underway.
In 2008, the new, post-Enron accounting rules come into force. Astonishingly, in this modern world of con-men executives, the new rules will force banks and financial institutions to actually tell the truth concerning the valuation of their collateralized debt obligation (CDO) and structured investment vehicle (SIV) derivatives.
This may seem strange in our modern world, where corporate and bank executives have followed our politicians in making honesty a rarity indeed.
Worst of all, Citi is not alone. The new rules will force other banks to come clean.
For example, I understand that several banks face massive estimated asset write downs to be on the same footing as Citi. They will include JP Morgan ($48 billion); HSBC ($30 billion); Wachovia ($10 billion) and Bank of America ($6 billion)!

HI again SPREEZeeee .. Well now the 5th of November was a record breaker for Dr ROn Paul. Unlike the other candidates. Ron Paul does not accept Corporate Donations!
If You are sending a Corporate Donation it will be declined and Ron Paul does not get Government matching political funds a man of Honor does not need them. Ron Paul can not be bought! Even if he doesnt win.. He has brought back something that has been buried in us for along time.. That we can actually have individual LIberty! And not only that the Sanctity of life act will over turn roe vs wade.. Which has not been done during the 8 yrs that the replubicans have been in office. It will be in the states hands and its much easier for the people to change the state then to change the goverment. For instance south dakota wanted abortion to be illegal in their state but because of roe vs wade it was not passed. He can make a difference. lets say they change it at the goverment level and say hillary or some prochoicer comes into office then they can change it back to being legal.. its all crazy but being in the states hands is much better. sorry I got off on that tangent.. but i know how you care for those unborn babies. have a great day.. I don't know if i want to laugh or not, but your numbers are off by a fairly good amount. Right now he's at 7.39 Million for the quarter. which means he's got a hair over 4.5 million to go to make it to 12 Million. If you're going to crack on Ron Paul, at least make sure your numbers are accurate.
Powerline also neglects to mention another poll that had Ron Paul at 6% in New Hampshire, or the latest National CNN Poll that mentions Ron Paul at 5%. But so what? a prior commenter is right, Unless Ron Paul translates the financial support into vote support, he won't make it into double figures.
As you can tell, I think Ron Paul will have a tough time \"Winning\" but I think that he does have a greater than zero chance. and I'd honestly put his chances of winning at about 1 in 50. (he's gotta have a lot of things happen) But to dismiss him because the odds are low would be like Dismissing Kerry because he was polling around 4% in December of 2003... And we all know how he didn't get the Democrat nomination.... Oh, Wait.

You Paulites seem to be so focused on Paul that you can't see the forest for the trees. Paul isn't the ONLY Constitutionalist candidate, Fred Thompson's message is one of returning to a government based more in lines with the intentions of the founding fathers as well.
However, unlike Dr Paul, he isn't taking the VERY dangerous approach of backing us down from the mess we've gotten into overnight, but doing so in a way that would be a more gradual return to more emphasis on the individual and states rights, rather than running helter skelter in reverse from where we've been.
Dr Paul said he could not do this over night as well.
That's good. Does he realize that he also can't go into complete isolationist mode in the world of today?
