You can't check what you can't track. Lobbyists have a function to fulfill and they do it in the best way they see possible. History is replete with stories of illegal contributions from lobbyists to politicians. Why would the general election be different?
As to pinning Obama down for everything he says, McCain is just as vulnerable. Politicians say whether they need to say to get elected.

This smacks of Richard Nixon and his slush fund. That is why the Federal Election Commission was formed.
Maybe we should start calling Obama, Tricky Obama. It doesn't work.

Obama is for sale and -according to opensecrets.org -has been bought and paid for by the clean coal, nuclear and insurance and financial industries. His small contributor base is a myth. Vote Ralph Nader. He's not for sale. Is your vote for sale? Think about it.

Good grief! Since when did web sites become authentic information in and of themselves. Try other web sites that actually document his contributor base. Ralph Nader may not be for sale, but he is one of the most narcissistic people imaginable. I miss the point of a protest vote.

BUYING THE PRESIDENCY OF THE U.S. ...
How many of the 1.5 million people who sent $200 to Obama's campaign were black? After all, Obama got 90% of the black vote. Is it possible that a group which comprises about 15% of the population in America could rule the other 85% ... simply by buying the election via contributions from 1.5 million people, in a country of 300 million people?

That's quite an assumption you have there. That 1.5 million blacks that have sent $200 to Obama. Have you any evidence for this assumption? If it is true a lot of white liberals who sent in $200 are going to be very disappointed. Those crowds of 50 and 70,000 people that we saw on television didn't all look black to me. Gina, I think you got some big issues are not not sure you're dealing with reality right now.
