Yes, to me, better than being a left wing communist spouting "common good".

I am sorry spree, I am a hardcore conservative and my blog would prove it, but this act went too far. The President and the executive branch just got a whole lot more power. Fine for Bush, I trust him, but what about future government employees at all levels. This act has serious implications on the 4th amendment, due process, habeus corpus, even for real non-terrorist Citizens.
I see it as an encroachment on our rights, and do agree that it is tyrannical. Do you even know what powers it gives to the President and the Judges? I think after you study it, you may agree with me.

If you go through my site you will see I have it word for word, plus links to the PDF file of the act in full and have done some considerable writing on it.
Do I think it is perfect? hell no. Do I see potential problems with this administration AND others, hell yes.
But I also see civilian courts complete inability to handle national security cases, as is witnessed by the ruling on Stewart.
If I have to compromise principle for safety, so be it. In a perfect world, none of this would be necessary. It is not a perfect world though, so even with it's inherent problems, it is what we have now.
Unlike many others though, I respect your opinion and your right to it, even if we agree to disagree.
Thanks for your honest comments. They are always welcome and respected here.
