I know this may require a bit more thought than your simplistic, knee-jerk condervatism can handle, but have you considered the possibility that jihadists are perfectly content to have bush and the Republicans win as they have for the last six years. Over that time, Republican policies have likely increased the number of terrorists and anti-american fervor across the globe. A reasonable alternative might be to have a more covert war, which inflames the rest ofthe world less and is even more successful than what has been an abject failure thus far.
Perhaps this is too "nuanced" for your intellect, but anyone who truly wants to win this war as I do would have to at least consider it.

This story came from the World Net Daily site. These people claimed to have discovered Noah's ark a few weeks ago. About the same time they were running the story that Bush was setting up a 'world government'
Their website is a joke.
Then just look it up on other sites. It IS the day of the "internet", the information is out there.

Expect you live in the Northeast... Here in the south, our democratic and republican candidates tend to be good men. Neither of them are going to go to Washington and suddenly become loons, despite the myriad campaign ads and commentaries (such as this) that say they will. They're not going to raise taxes, they're not going to help terrorists, and they're not going to support gay marriage.
Our foreign policy is a mess. The crowning decision not to vote republican for me was the foreign policy debacle in Nicaragua. Rather than support a moderate, this administration is going to put a leninist in as president. I don't question the intents of this administration. I believe they mean well but I am convinced they are one of the least competent administrations with respect to foreign policy that we have ever had.
I'm not ready to roll the dice and see if we can do better with a loon. However, I'm ready to give a conservative democrat a shot. Might do better and I don't think he could do any worse...
As I pointed out yesterday to this exact same post (ya'll reading the same script?) Good men STILL vote along party lines when someone like Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rangel are asking for a vote.
It may be a local race, but what people tend to forget is that it has NATIONAL ramifications.
Good men or not, they ARE Democrats and the terrorists have already made their endorsements PUBLICLY.
