Gravatar The McCain Campaign has already said that now the Rezko issue is on the table, and I'm assuming that means his relationship with bill Ayers and the Weather Underground. At every juncture, at every campaign stop, Obama needs to explain just how deep he's in with these criminals.

Obama opened this can of worms, and McCain's response will be to bury him.

McCain by 10 by Labor Day.

Gravatar Lesson of the day to McCain: A man who owns over half a dozen homes shouldn't argue that his opponent is an elistist.

Before the GOP attacks Obama's links to Bill Ayers, they should start by asking other fellow Republicans why they also served on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago with Ayers. Naturally, that won't happen.

Gravatar That glass house metaphor really could use some work. You don't really add anything beyond the original "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones," by inserting a boomerang into it. The glass house is already broken by the stone as it leaves the house, you see. Also, talking about McCain's multiple houses as if they are glass kind of makes it end with the impression that you are saying that McCain lives in glass house(s).
It's best to keep it short and simple.

Gravatar You can certainly delete posts at your own blog at your discretion, but my second post was also "on topic", for the record.

Gravatar No, it wasn't--and you're not the arbiter here. So stay on topic and no problem. Continue off topic and you will be deleted. Correcting someone else's phrasing is not on topic. Got it?

Gravatar Yes it is and again, you are not the arbiter.

Gravatar Number of houses Barack Obama owns - Zero, the bank owns it until he pays off the mortgage.

Number of houses John McCain's wife owns - who knows, he'll have his staff get back to you.

And if McCain is going to start yapping about Tony Retzko or William Ayres, he better be ready for the Keating Five, who contributed to one of the largest financial meltdowns in US history, bailed out by the American taxpayer.

BWAAHHHAHAHAHAHAH!

Gravatar My hunch is that the Obama campaign is extremely relucatant to use the Keating Five story because it would represent a negative message for the campaign. Similarly, the McCain campaign sees its best opportunity to even the playing field by knocking Obama off his message and turning this election season into a series of cartoonish charicatures and run-of-the-mill mudslinging. So McCain may thus actually be itching for such an attack, despite the risks involved.

However, if done properly, pointing out McCain's role in the Keating Five scandal would tie in neatly with the image of McCain as ultra-wealthy, out of touch, and in with the irresponsible financial bubble crowd.

Frankly, it's a shame that the campaign has to come down to this, but the Democrats have learned the hard way that negative, scurrilous attacks from the GOP can't simply be brushed off as nonsense. The public is simply too gullible.

Gravatar And when it comes down to it, let's talk about the real issues, which you dems aren't capable of doing--note, it's Cindy who owns the houses--who also LOVES HER COUNTRY. Not John.

Now, how 'bout that infanticide thing of BHO's? Instead of having to make up non-issues to play the gotcha game, which is the point of the article, how 'bout your bone=headed baby killer answer some real issues? And while we're talking about rich elitism, let's talk about his brother living on $1 per month--even though BHO wants to help all the poor. Let's talk about that for awhile--he won't even help his brother, other than to acknowledge his existence in one of his books--but he wants to help the poor.

You all are hypocrites. And I say McCain needs to stay on offense because your buddy can't take the heat, resorting to yelling and anger because someone dares pin him down.

Grow up and get off the bongs. We all see the truth and it ain't from your side.

Gravatar Actually, I'd much rather talk about real issues than the candidates' lives. I'm not interested in how many houses McCain lives in. (Why is it, by the way, that the wealth of Theresa Heinz-Kerry was seen as an important issue with conservatives in 2004, but now the wealth of Cindy McCain is irrelevant in 2008?)

Miss Beth, you say you want to talk about issues, but all I read from your post are just more personal attacks on Obama or on people who disagree with you. (Bongs? Oh, puhleeze.) OK, I suppose the "bone-headed baby killer" is a mild (and less than subtle) attempt to tangentially discuss an issue.

I'm sure you would want McCain to keep making the attacks he has been making. I will even concede that they are effective, especially when the media has been uncritically peddling them to the public. But conservatives should understand that liberals and moderates supporting Obama are not going to take such cheap shots lying down, nor should they.

Gravatar You know John, your response shows just how out of touch you are. First, Cindy McCain has done a LOT of good in her life, whereas Theresa Heinz-Kerry was nothing but a rich, loudmouth pig and John her gigolo.

Now, obviously you missed the actual reference to the bone-headed baby killer previously in the post--the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. Your buddy supports that infanticide. And that's what it is. I can see voting against the act once and claiming he didn't understand it--he doesn't understand a whole lot since he votes present or changes his mind repeatedly. But to vote against it 3 times? To find ways to prevent the language he says he wants in the act from being put into the act? Yeah, he's a bone-headed baby killer, plain and simple. If you don't like it called what it is, tough.

As for McCain's attacks, I guess you would call stating facts attacks because that's all you can do. Facts is facts and if you don't like them too bad. Hussein is nothing more than a street thug playing at chicago style politics, who has never accomplished a damn thing in his life. His judgement, his associations and associates, his wife, all of it show he nothing more than a spoiled, empty suit child who cannot take the heat of the kitchen and needs to get out of it.

And if you don't like a spade being called a spade, go play at KOS where they like conspiracy theories and enjoy patting themselves on the back for their misplaced, frothing anger--it's what we expect from those who don't get their way in trying to force this country into yet another failed communist nation. Here, we're conservatives who believe in things like God, Country and Family.

Now, either discuss the damn issues or get gone--I have no time for pea brains who would rather get into it with me than get into the substance of their ridiculous assertions they can't begin to back up because the facts don't back them up. Even the media admits it's biased to Hussein. You can't even spin that one here.

Oh and whiny liberals should understand conservatives will no longer put up with the bullshit lies slimy liberals continue to attempt to force down our throats. We've had enough and you plain can't handle the fact we will no longer tolerate it and OUR gloves are off. Get used to it and get your wads of kleenex handy--there are far more of us than you, and we will not tolerate your nonsense any longer. Your way of life has proven a dismal failure, with lie after lie after lie after lie designed to destroy America. Your way of life is over.
Your choice.
