Did you know that Gore's energy company never received an inquiry from that Tennessee Center for Policy Research about Gore's energy bill? Also, did you know that Gore pays more to use some renewable energy sources? And also, did you know that the energy company also said some smaller residences also use just as much energy as Gore does? And finally, did you know that Gore's residence is 20 rooms (2 personal offices) that also has to house his security team and their operations?
If you want to be about the facts, then go ahead and report them all.
Is Al Gore perfect - NO. Is he trying - YES. Is global warming real - YES. Let’s stop making this a political issue. Obviously we as citizens can make some lifestyle changes that can help the environment. Yes, some truth probably does exist that this partly due to the life cycle of the earth or whatever natural process. But you cannot completely deny that citizens of earth are helping contribute. We all can do our part to help. This does not need to be a political issue where it's one way or the other. That is ridiculous!

I'll have to look into the information that you provided. I have not heard that before.
But, the point of my post was that the facts were not represented fairly in the original post.
Also, I am not some devoted democrat who cheers them at every move. I am an American who holds all my politicians accountable. Just because I have a liberal view on many issues does not mean I will defend them to all costs.
Jerry, the reason HCdl does the global warming pieces is because he HAS researched the "facts".
I have largely stayed away from this issue but from what I have learned is Global warming is a war between experts.
For every expert that studies it that blames it on man, there is another expert that shows it is nature.
Until all the experts can get on the same side of this issue, then there will always be two sets of minds to match the two sets of experts.

I appreciate that you are a "sane" liberal. I give you immense kudos for that. However, I have read extensively on this subject and I believe this to be the ultimate hoax.
I also believe that for years we have been "dumbing down" Americans through a school system that doesn't work. It's an easy hoax to perpetrate if most of the populace is too stupid, or too apathetic, to research (not meaning you).
I believe the Earth is getting warmer, but I do not believe it is man made. I agree that we should all be good stewards. I recycle and make sure the lights in the house are turned off if we are not in the room (difficult task with a teen and a tween at home). What I do not agree with is the duping of the world populace for personal gain. As to "An Inconvenient Truth", I have never, in my entire life, seen a more self-promoting piece of fluff. The pretty graphs and scenery aside, it's a promo piece for Al Gore.
I suppose one could argue that it was dinosaur shit that caused the global warming during the Jurassic, Mesozoic, and Triassic eras, but I don't quite think that that would hold water, either.

Let me get this straight; If Gore has his way, we must purchase Carbon Credits on a yearly basis from him and his associates. The money is not a tax going to the government for use on roads, schools or whatever, but Gore and his bunch keep the money for themselves. The Carbon Credits apply to any use of energy which releases carbon dioxide into the atomophere; this includes those who use a wood stove in their basement. In other words...Gore did not win the election in 2000...so now he wants to be Emporer of the World.
