As I noted today, the 'root cause' of terror has nothing to do with 'oppression' or 'persecution' or any such thing. Terror is the result of warped ideologies, the desire to control others and the willingness to do anything so as not to empower those they wish to control.

Pleased to see this making it to more and more US blogs. People on the Left just Cannot seem to understand that they will end up being silenced along with all those they hate, should this Star Chamber have it's way with Ezra Levant and Mark Steyn.

Every time I hear that damned PSA claiming "our strength is in our diversity" I want to pull over and puke my guts out.
Diversity is good, yes, but this multicultural approach to the American culture is dividing us more than the issues of the 1800's.
Blessed right! Our own freedom of expression is protected for the moment, but not for long if a 'crat is elected, or McCain, for that matter.
The U.N. is the chief proponent of censorship; we need to quit the U.N. and get it out of the U.S.A!

Don't forget CAIR's assault on Michael Savage in which Savage is now suing them under free speech laws--and his attorney, Horowitz has brought in RICO laws. Upshot is CAIR took some of his broadcasts and put them together as a propaganda of "hate speech", completely out of context, and he said enough.
Savage Nation has all the details, the copy of the initiating complaint and periodic updates about it.
Oh, and before I forget, interesting how muslims against sharia have neglected to inform people of this suit in which Savage is fighting for broadcasters freedom of speech--even though he gives them plenty of publicity. guess Savage giving them publicity doesn't warrant their defending him or his freedoms when push comes to shove, but then, that's about what I would expect.

You're welcome--since he is fighting in the public eye for broadcasters everywhere and their freedom of speech...I love Steyn and his works, he's certainly not afraid of speaking the truth, but he's not the only one out there and all who are fighting for our freedoms need to be mentioned.

There is something called hate propaganda in Canada and it is illegal.
From the Criminal Code of Canada:
319. (1) Every one who, by communicating statements in any public place, incites hatred against any identifiable group where such incitement is likely to lead to a breach of the peace is guilty of
(a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or
(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.
Wilful promotion of hatred
(2) Every one who, by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, wilfully promotes hatred against any identifiable group is guilty of
(a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or
(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.
The law clearly shows you can
’t just say publicly whatever you want, not in newspapers, in broadcast and yes,not on the Internet, either.
Apparently some people don’t understand the law.
