has Hillary gotten to the committee? this extra long break, with word that the committee is meeting in private, behind closed doors, stinks! it certainly gives the appearance that something in the cream is dirty--particularly after it has been announced time after time over the previous weeks, by committee members, that it would be open to news coverage. I am beginning to wonder just who Hillary and her supporters has paid off for a favorable ruling.
I, for one, will not vote for any candidate that comes out of this process due to, what can be construed as, a shady deal as the victor. My solution is to strip all candidates of all super-delegates and rely strictly on the pledged delegates. I wonder just what Hillary's argument against that would be.

As for Hillary, she's finished. They gave delegates to Obama and my family in Florida is furious over that.

michigan was kind of tricky but it was the stater party that decided the votes, neither of the candidates got what they wanted. Fl was allocated along the lines of the popular vote and according to the reccomendations of the state party. Also it was unanimous from both the party, clinton and obama camps, so there should be no contraversy.

The committee had a difficult decision. Neither camp got what they asked for. It is done. Move on.
If they wanted to be the state that made a difference, they did. Their state party leaders accepted the decision. It is over.

A farcical ruling by the DNC's rules committee.
Leaders make the mistake and the votes of the commong people is halved; Instead the leaders should have been barred from their own "Superdelegate status" in Michigan and Florida.
Obama and his surrogates together with the Hillary haters in the DNC have today set a new paradigm for democracy. 31st May 2008 shall be a red letter day for Democracy in the world.
Now Kibaki in Kenya, Mugabe in Zimbabwe and Museveni in Uganda have to just emulate Obama in the greatest democracy and halve the representation of those constituents who are incovenient. A new weapon in democracy has been unveilled by the "Change maker". This is indeed a great change....

So, every vote doesn't count in the democrat party? They could have atleast counted them as 3/5 votes like they did in the old days. I am sure Grand Wizard Senator Byrd can educate the dems on how that works.
So, what he have now are half citizens in Florida and Michigan on the democrat side. We repubs will take any of you who want to be in a party that values your vote. Visit us below to see how you can join the ranks! Holla!

Obama played by rules agreed to by him and Clinton. And it sure seems he is being the one punished for playing by the rules.
However, I agree with Carl Levin when he asks why 3-4 states who vote early get to pick the democratic candidate.

HRC will never quit with good reason. BHO is a catastrophe for the Democrats in the General Election and to avoid another unviable candidate was supposed to be the rationale for the steal the vote "super" delegate scheme. These DNC jokers actually running the country is a nightmare.

Those DNC jokers on the comittee were mostly Clinton Superdelegates. Clinton has a steep hill to climb and it's even steeper with Montana and South Dakota. Obama has a 10 point lead in both states. Clinton doesn't have a good reason to continue. Unless her ulterior motive is to rip apart the party and go it out on her own.
Obama is far from a catastrophe. He is running an awesome campaign. Has some respectable supporters (compare Wexler to Ickes). He is beating Clinton...the assumptive presumptive nominee.

The NBA has announced some rules changes that are intended to make the finals this year more interesting. The goals will we lowered to 7ft high thus increasing the possibility for slam dunks. Also, the three point line will not be recognized but replaced by the half court line thereby making the three point shot a half court shot. It is hoped that these changes are going to add excitement for the fans. When asked why the changes were being made now at such a late juncture and not discussed in rules committee meetings following the season for '09 the NBA commissioner responded, "After watching the Democratic Rules Committee meetings this past week we decided that changing the rules in the middle of a process would be acceptable to our fan base. The Boston Celtics believe that the rules up to this point were not in their favor and this will increase their chances of victory. Therefore, in the interest of league unity we have decided to come to a compromise." After hearing reports of this change MLB has expressed interest in adding a 4th base to the playing surface, NHL has discussed doubling the size of the goal and the NFL has discussed eliminating the extra point. Of course the NFL proposal will have to wait until mid November after half of the schedule is finally settled.

Is it finally becoming obvious to Clinton supporters that she will not stop until she's been given the nomination whether she's won or not? In her arrogant mind she was entitled to be the nominee and she utterly can not believe that the rest of America doesn't feel that way. Watch the HBO move Recount. Several references are made regarding Democrats stopping at nothing to steal elections. Usually this involves stealing from the Republicans. Its finally come down that old school, filthy, dishonest, arrogant, deceitful, bunch won't even stop where stealing from one of their own is concerned. Yes, I'm a life long Republican BUT I SWITCHED to vote for Obama. Thank you Democrats, particulary you Hillary, for reminding me why I stayed out of the Democrat cesspool prior to this. Hillary's nonsense has handed John McCain the presidency. Her nonsense has single handedly destroyed the Democratic party. I should be happy, but I'm not. This country has survived and grown and been the USA because of the two party system. It serves as a check and balance between the various opionions, attitudes, etc. of this country. Thanks to Hillary we will be down to just one party, the Republicans and the checks and balances will be gone. And all you Democrats are responsible for your own demise because no one will tell this power insane witch to for once in her life do the the right thing...for once in her life do something that isn't all about the greater glory of Hillary. She will stop at nothing...destroying the democratic party, destroying the country, destroying the world if need be to fuel her own desires. She is the single most evil person in the world. Realize that when she figures out a way to convince the Democratic party to give her the nomination that is the beginning of the end for this country. Because in the fall, even though McCain will win by a landslide she will fight every result, sue to change rules in the middle, etc. She will make the Bush/Gore fiasco look like child's play. When she loses, no matter by how much, she will again stop at nothing, including ruining this country, to make sure that she's president. She won't have anything to preside because she will have destroyed everything to get what she wants. Too bad we finally get a woman to run and it will cost us the country.

How do you right the wrong?
Living in FL, I knew the election in January WOULD NOT COUNT.
You can't say, they won't count and then months and months later say they count and the will of the people is....... This is MORE of a disgrace and injustice then just leaving things as they were.
All the candidates involved AGREED, so how can you understand the will of people in FL and in MI.
The answer... YOU CAN'T..
The original penalities and agreements should stand as is... that is the only fair way of dis-service to the voters in FL and in MI
Because you know what they about assuming....
Let this be a lesson, so next time a crystal ball is needed, they have it.
