Interestingly, yesterday some Sadr-ites said, "Oh, no, Sadr didn't run away to Iran! He's right here in Iraq, just sleeping in a different place every night."
Right.
Today it's "Actually, he IS in Iran, but he's on vacation. Yeah, that's it. On VACATION."
Double right.
I trust GEN Caldwell over the Sadr-ites anyday, and Caldwell said Sadr's gone to Iran.
So do I and lets hope that they handle the borders correctly and the jagoff cannot get back in...or better yet, is shot on sight.
One problem down, on to the next one.
I am tired of seeing everyone walk on eggshells. My support is unconditional,unqualified, but I would like to see our soldiers given a free hand to handle the problems that face them without politics here OR in Iraq getting in their way.
Let the military do their job, THEN when it is done, let the politicians handle theirs.
