Nobody has the extra cash on hand and their credit cards are all maxed out. And the stores wonder why nobody is buying?
Yeah and they think we are too stupid to notice that instead of there prices going down (like they went up with gas prices), they jacked those puppies up even higher right before Christmas. Now that they are slashing the prices, they are coming down to how much they should have been before the holidays. There is not any really great deals out there. If they really wanted to make money they should not charge so much for all the made in china crap they are peddling. I could not believe how high every thing was with such an economic crisis going on right now. Oh and walmart did not have more lanes open!Bahumbug...glad it is over! LOL
I know they made absolutely no money off of me. I bought everything from Private sellers on E Bay. And I did not miss the crowds, got better, more unique gifts,(most handmade), and spent no money on gas.

The satisfaction I get from this? My money was injected directly to another American! No foreign profits here.
And no stress at all! But I did drive the UPS lady a bit crazy. We are on a first name basis now.

My neighbors and close friends got baskets I made. I gave them jars of my homemade jams, homemade breads, homemade candles. Cost me very little, but worth it.
