The Dhimmicrat "leadership" in this country is waking up in a cold sweat every morning. It's only a matter of time now, as we defeated Mookie al-Sadr and his boys and now with the Iraq Awakening Party replacing them victory in Iraq is a matter of will.
By this time next year we'll be talking about how the Petraeus strategy was the definitive turning point in this war. Specifically, we'll be pointing to the events of April 2007, as the last of al-Sadr's militants left the government in protest and the process of securing Baghdad began in earnest.
We'll also be talking about AG Gonzales bringing charges against the NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, and the Dhimmicrats and how the party of Pelosi and Reid will be in the wilderness for a generation. Perhaps after splitting up into several useless microparties, we won't ever have to worry about the Dhimmicrats again.
And we can get down to the business of dealing with the Islamist war we're involved in.

In a survey commissioned by The Moriah Group, a Chattanooga-based strategic communications and public affairs firm;
By a 53 percent - 46 percent margin, respondents surveyed said that "Democrats are going too far, too fast in pressing the President to withdraw troops from Iraq."
By identical 57 percent - 41 percent margins, voters agreed with these statements: "I support finishing the job in Iraq, that is, keeping the troops there until the Iraqi government can maintain control and provide security" and "the Iraqi war is a key part of the global war on terrorism."
Also, by a 56 percent - 43 percent margin, voters agreed that "even if they have concerns about his war policies, Americans should stand behind the President in Iraq because we are at war."
While the survey shows voters believe (60 percent- 34 percent) that Iraq will never become a stable democracy, they still disagree that victory in Iraq ("creating a young, but stable democracy and reducing the threat of terrorism at home") is no longer possible. Fifty-three percent say it's still possible, while 43 percent disagree.
By a wide 74 percent - 25 percent margin, voters disagree with the notion that "I don't really care what happens in Iraq after the U.S. leaves, I just want the troops brought home."
Amazing what can be discovered outside the leftist strongholds.

1). Only 5% of our oil comes from Iraq, 0% from Iran; 12% from the Middle East overall; 48% from Canada yet we're not at war with Canada so how is this a war for oil?
2). Show me a perfectly prosecuted war that DIDN'T contain numerous mistakes
3). Why don't you and others of your ilk admit that in your blindy rabid BDS, none of you can face the fact that Bush has kept his promises--he said the war would not be short-term and we had to plan for the long-term. He didn't say it once, but several times. The ultimate fact is those who suffer from BDS don't have the guts to do what needs to be done, take the time to do it properly (had the UN not tied Bush I's hands, it would have been finished in 1991--tied his hands like y'all are trying to do again thereby insuring we will have to go back yet again if we don't finish this here and now and do it properly), you are all a bunch of spineless, gutless, yellow-bellied wimps, and Bush is the only one with the cajones to stand firm and get the job done. Because he's not saying what you want to hear in your "Rosie" colored world, you tune out.
4). You cowards who think skewed polls, worded in a way guaranteed to give you the answers you so desparately want to hear, are going to impress ME?

6). Do you honestly think a difference of only 100,000 votes was a major win for you? (in a country of 298,444,215?)

Do you honestly think the majority of TRUE Americans want to see the images from the 60's repeated with your so-called peace protests in which you support Nazi-ism, Communism, Fascism, Socialism, burning troops in effigy and supporting those who slice off innocents heads for sport and disagreement (think Nick Berg if your brain cells aren't too fried from the drugs you're obviously on)?

We are not talking abut treason when discussing the Blue Star Father,
I do not think he would care about winning, but imagine the political damage to not only Reid, but other Democrats if a few thousand military families decided to start a civil suit against Reid for negligence and endangering their family members lives.
First, your bringing up the NYT and other media outlets is intellectually dishonest again, REID is NOT protected by the same laws that the media is because he is not a member of the press.
Worst case scenario, the Blue and Gold Star families lose the case, the POINT would still be made and the Democratic party would be in taters from a public civil suit trial.....all because Reid was careless with his words and endangered (and we have dozens of letters FROM the aactive militray for the basis of endangerment) our militray men and womens lives.
One only has to look at Reid's statements AFTER he realized the firestorm he created with his politically motivated remarks to the press to understand that he quickly realized how fast this could all snowball on him.
IF the blue start families DO, indeed, take him to court, the media attention alone will guarantee Reid will never be elected again.
The Democrats as a whole see the potential damage, as is witnessed by only a handful of Dems stepping up to defend Reid at the moment.
Imagine the headlines, THOUSANDS of them across multiple countries.... Military Families vs Harry Reid.

If Democrats so desparately want our Troops out of iraq, why then don't they just stand up and defund the war, as they are authorized to?
Why the song and dance of they support the troops when nearly everything they do, even down to treating Veterans as "victims," undermines the Troops?

See, you can do that. Your responsibility is largely only for yourself.
But Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is another matter. When the top senator tells the world -- our friends, allies, troops, and enemies -- that we have LOST in Iraq, his words have meaning. They provide aid and comfort to our enemies. They sap the morale of our troops. And he is doing it strictly for ephemeral political power.
This act is the very definition of treason during wartime: an act that empowers the enemies of America at the expense of the men and women out there protecting us from several hundred million Islamists who will die in order to see Israel, America, and its allies eliminated from Earth.
They demand our genocide. YOU need to understand this. They will leverage every advantage they have to secure the goal of the elimination of the United States of America.
And Harry Reid and the Dhimmicratic Party is one of their main advantages. There are millions of people in the United States that actually believe withdrawing from Iraq will somehow end this call for our elimination as a country, as a culture, as a civilization. There are many more millions who know that we are locked in a battle for the survival of America.
If we lose here, if we falter here, then Iran will control Iraq and use their new power to hold the rest of Earth hostage in the grip of an energy crisis that will make 1974 look like a picnic. It will be an economic suicide bombing that will cause the world economy to collapse.
And then they will nuke Tel Aviv.
Leftists either refuse to understand the mountains of evidence before us that state we are in a battle for our very lives, or they understand all too well and have chosen sides already. Harry Reid has fallen into one of these categories. Either way, he is a clear and present danger to the US, as is the Dhimmicratic Party.
THe 2008 elections may be the most important one we ever hold in this country. If the Dhimmicrats win, we will surely leave Iraq. And the entire world will lose.

WE NEVER INTENDED TO LEAVE IRAQ! 62 years after V-E Day we still have a whole armor corps based in Germany. Almost 61 years after WWII ended we are in Japan. 109 years after the end of the Spanish American War we still have a base in CUBA, Guantanamo Bay (Gittmo)! We've been in Saudi Arabia since Aug. 2nd, 1990, and Kuwait since February 1991! I can go on and on...
We now have permanent American bases in Iraq. Why is it the default position of the ignorant liberals and a few so-called "moderates" that we NEED to leave Iraq? The Democratic Presidential hopefuls are falling all over themselves over who will surrender (sorry, “strategic redeployment”) first.
Iraq is THE central front in the war on terror, and you want to concede it to the enemy, even though the troops WANT to be there. It’s an all volunteer military, and nearly everyone had a choice to reenlist or join since AFTER the invasion. Now I know why only 9-11% of the current US Military votes democrat. I met only 2 liberals when I was in the service. I thought it was a BRILLIANT military strategy, to invade Iraq after Afghanistan.... Look at a map for God's sake. Creating a democracy in the HEART of the Middle East - the land of Mesopotamia, the Garden of Eden - creates a land void of Wahhabbism and state controlled media that preaches violence and propaganda against the infidel. It's going to take a full generation, 20 years or more to start to fully work, but it no doubt will. In the short term it will deny the enemy a safe haven backed with state funds from oil proceeds. And immediately, it GUARANTEED that Sadaam would never again attempt to produce or acquire WMDs.
In less than a month, one Special Forces A-Team backed up by the Northern Alliance, ANGLICO (Air-Ground Liason) and CAS (Close Air Support) defeated the Taliban and drove Al Qaeda underground. We probably haven't killed Bin Laden yet, but we've kept him from building a movement, and isolated him without the ability to communicate. HERE's the brilliant part... We knew the terrorists will follow us wherever we go. We knew they would regroup and flock to us as partisans. Afghanistan is the most inhospitable place on the planet to defend territory. It goes from 110 to below freezing in 24 hours, with arid deserts and elevations regularly above 16,000 ft., has millions of places to hide, and gives the advantage to smaller, more mobile forces (ie. small groups of poorly organized jihadists.)
