Through Faultline's poll yesterday I found an article at Big Blue Wave (nice site, btw) about abortion in Canada and a doctor possibly losing her license because she won't perform abortions. I'm now in a debate with "Joe Agnostic" about abortion--so far I've kept my temper, but he's doing some serious twisting and spinning--come join the fun? Here's the link:

The right for life group are complete hypocrites and even the dems, and independents like me see this. they will be held accountable by the Lord and they will be paying back every cent of every hard earned dollar of the "little people," the Christian people who have lost sleep and agonized over the right to life issue and funded and gave their last $10 or $20 donations to groups like this: the very folks these big organizations climbed on the backs of to get to the top. In the name of the Lord Jesus, Son of the Most High God, for this, they shall pay back every penny. And Pat Robertson will be right behind them paying up.
and a vote for thompson is a vote for hillary. the republicans are shooting their own foot off. which brings me to another fact: the republicans also have hoodwinked the true Christian hearts to win their party the past few years. however, they are neither Christians nor do they truly support Christian values. If they did, they would know Jesus only commanded a few things of us: the feed the poor, to clothe the hungry, to obey his commandments, and to caste out demons in His name. He never said to overindulge in self-righteousness, pride, gluttony, cowardice, lies, adultery, divorce for no good reason; and then circle only sins of homosexuality. it's like selective sins, only they focus only on one--but then again, they had to do that so they could scare and use the Christians for their votes.
i will warn all republican partisans that your chickens have come home to roost and your shenanigans have come to light. you never cared about the Christian values, except to win your party's elections. there is a good voting block that will not go to the polls to choose between the lesser of 2 evils. and that just may be the percentage the republicans need to win. i have nothing but rebuke of shame for you.
and i'm voting for Huck.
you republicans on the other hand, enjoy hillary. it was you who divided your own party and let her conquer.

Hillary doesn't stand a chance and if you had read even HALF of the Hillary posts here you would see why.
Get off your high horse, Thompson's voting record speaks for itself and the National Right to Life picked the right candidate.
You might not like it but it was not your decision now was it?
Take your bullshit elsewhere.

I am baffled how a group called "Right to Life" could endorse a candidate who supports the continued occupation of Iraq and more senseless deaths of Americans and Iraqis.

It's simple, JD. They have the common sense to realize that there is a difference between abortion and war/military operations.
If you want to talk about senseless deaths, let's go back to 9/11, shall we? THOSE were senseless deaths.

National Right to Life is a GOP front organization. The GOP elite are in bed with special interests. Special interests fund the GOP. The one hand washes the other. Fred Thompson said, "I know how business is done in Washington."
It is vitally important that this unholy alliance continues. Fred Thompson is the man who National Right to Life can trust to keep the machinery oiled.
National Right to Life receive contributions from gullible Christians who think they are supporting a pro-life organization. A small portion of the funds go towards building a website that dupes those who visit the website in believing that is is all about life. No, it all about diverting funds to the political elite and their co-conspirators.
If you really care about life, you'd care about the life in the womb and the life of the Iraq woman and child walking the streets and markets of Iraq. No, this is not about life, this about politics, maintaining the status quo. Pro-life, pro-war... thank God for the Christian right. They are so malleable.

Actually the National Right to Life have already given their rwasons and they are endorsing Thompson because they think he is the best man to beat Giuliani.
Considering these endorsements are FOR the presidency in 2008, of COURSE it is about politics...are you for real?
The Christian Right has been more consistent than the panderers on the left and those that continue to believe their lies, like you Albert.
