Gravatar Buttered, please

Gravatar LOTS of butter--and then some!

Can I get a cross post please???

How's the move coming?

Gravatar Yes it’s ironic and it seems to indicate that the left had no love lost on the Clintons and only tolerated their corruption until the left had a force in place strong enough to hack away at the Clinton machine.

Gravatar Far to the left? Moveon's key positions are supported by a majority of Americans. Saying they aren't, and saying the DLC is centrist shows how far one is truly out of the mainstream.

Gravatar If that's the case, Freddy, I'm glad we don't live in the same America...

Gravatar I guess MoveOn's key position of taking out a full page NYT ad about "General Betray Us" was considered mainstream, DESPITE the uproar it caused in those "centrists", huh? The general seditious nature of MoveOn aligning itself with groups like Code Pink is pretty "centrist", too, huh--DESPITE the bad press code pink is getting about it's instigation with kicking the USMC out of Berkley and calling them uninvited invaders?

Not to mention Soros' connection with major communist factions and groups--that's all "centrist" American, right?

The only way MoveOn or its affiliates and their views could be considered centrist is if you're a fruit loop and the empty hole in the middle is your "centrist" views...

Gravatar Mainstream...majoity of Americans....

Actually, Fred, the majority of Americans are not in the big cities with all their welfare and wasteful social programs; they are the heart and soul of America, the folks who work hard for a living, and shun the "progressive" values that the socialists, like MoveOn, espouse.

Most Americans want the government to do what it was invented to do: protect the states from oppressors, and allow each individual to achieve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It was designed to amass a military to defend the states from all who would threaten them. Unfortunately, it has grown to the point that too many Americans think it should provide everything one should need, cradle to grave, which is exactly the opposite of its purpose.

The best thing that could ever happen in this country is to pass an Amendment to the Constitution placing term limits at the national level, thereby dissolving Congressional retirement, saving taxpayers billions, and putting service to the people at the forefront of our elected officials, and not re-election worries.

Our forefathers designed Congress as such: you come and serve you country at will, and when you term is done you go back to your farm, job, business, et cetera; it was never intended to be a career.

Look what we have now: elected officials who spend most of the terms weaseling out plans to get re-elected, making empty promises, adding riders to bills for worthless projects in their home states, all so they can go home and say, "Look at what I have done for (add any state's name here)! You need me in Congress!"

Sorry for the long spiel; I just get tired of all the simple, senseless drivel that seems to get spewed out....

Gravatar The hell with the apology, T.J., spiel on. I am absolutely relieved when men and women who can actually use their minds get on a roll.

Gravatar I hear ya Mike--and TJ, I second that. I PERSONALLY am all for term limits on all levels of government--keeps these people a lot more honest when they have to go back into the mainstream of life instead of residing in the vaunted halls of olympus with no contact with the real citizens.
