I was lucky enough to hear about this man a couple weeks ago, and then again very lucky to see the president give his parents the medal of honor on tv yesterday. We are very lucky to have such awesome people serving this country over there

Google Medal of Honor and your post comes up first. I'm teary eyed after listening to Bush's speech. Petty Officer Michael Monsoor was an increbile soldier and is an incredible example.

As I say in my post at TB yesterday, I swear if you look in the dictionary under "HERO", there has to be a picture of this man.
The irony of the ceremony for his MOH being on the same day as the dimtwits harass our General Petraeus did not escape me.
I thank God for men such as Mike Monsoor, and will always honour their memory and their families..

A true hero, a true American, a true fighting man. He represents a dying breed in this country; a man with honor and sacrifice. He is the epitome of the Marine credo: Semper Fidelis. That means always faithful to you anti-military folks.
We need more people like this, instead of limp-wristed liberals who think they are enlightened and peace does not take eternal vigilance.
What an extremely extraordinary human being. One can only strive to exemplify the same courage and dedication that this man has shown with his actions. My heart goes out to all his family and freinds.
