The two rounds look in pristine condition as if they had just been removed from a bandolier or came out of a box.
From the size they appear to be 5.56mm/.223 caliber such as would be used in a M-16/M-4 and newer versions of the same.
I'm holding a 5.56mm round in my hand to compare size. The rounds in the picture appear to be 5.56mm. I also have a 7.62 X 51mm/.308 round which is another common round found in the US Military. They are not the same.
Basically a 5.56 is roughly the same diameter as .22 caliber and the 7.62 is a .30 caliber. Distinctly different in bullet size. And visually easy to distinguish.
They are manufactured by the millions all over the world so who can pinpoint where they came from without a much closer inspection. An embedded stamp on the base of the brass case will usually point to the manufacturer of the case but again they are a common round used in very common readily available weapons.
The only thing this picture tells me is that the woman is old and needs to clean under her nails.
So she has a couple of M-16 rounds.
So what MSM?

Evidently the media didn't think to question her when she said those bullets "hit" her house.
Amazing huh?

I'm not the brightest penny in the pot though I do know a little about firearms and ammunition.
And if I can figure it out what in the name of common sense is wrong with these mutts?
Perhaps I should dust off my EE diploma and submit a resume. Jesus, Mary and Joseph even my limited vocabulary and writing skills would outshine these cretins.....hmmmm. Wonder what the starting salary is.....LOL.
The MSM has "0" credibility...in fact I would rate them at least a negative 10.
