Here's a thought: Saddam was a secular Sunni. Osama bin Laden is an extreme sect of Sunni called Wahabbi. Is it really a stretch to think the two could want to work together?
I never thought so and the evidence that was obtained throughout the Clinton administration pointed to it.
People also forget that the majority of intelligence that Bush used WAS from the Clinton administration, because Bush was only in office for 8 months before the attack on 9/11.
More importantly, in my mind, is Bush only had the information that Sandy Berger DIDN'T destroy.
No one knows exactly what he did destroy or how helpful it could have been to the Bush administration.
People have short memories... but the internet does not and all the information is out there,if a person has the guts and integrity to actually look for it even if it means shaking up the partyline that they have been fed.
You have that right, spree. Unfortunately, I really believe Americans are ADD and not interested in getting to the bottom of the truth. We should be able to trust our elected officials, i.e., Democrats in teh Senate and Congress, to tell the truth, but politics and power are more important to them. Sad.
Sad and dangerous. Yet when the next attack hits they will act all innocent and indignant as if they aren't the reason.
Sickening.
