Finally, a priest who tells it like it is.
It is actually a MORTAL SIN for Pelosi to take the Eucharist (if she even goes to Mass) because she endorses abortion. She is NO Catholic.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Church excommunicate Madonna for less? And can anyone name two Southern Baptist presidents during the last 50 years who have both been disavowed by the Southern Baptist Convention? And what party did these two fine upstanding individuals belong to, again?

Don't forget this is the same Catholic church that favors open borders. Cardinal Mahony here in Los Angeles is a very vocal advocate of this.

One wonders why Dems are losing what little respect they ever had, it is because if they do not like the message they try to distract.
You people are pitiful, this post is about Pelosi and a letter from the priest, if you cannot address the issue from the post.....don't talk at all.

Exactly my point, spree, Pelosi is falling right in line with both Clinton and Carter in receiving repremands from her chosen relious denomination because of her leftist liberal stance and record. In my mind, I see a pattern forming here with Democrats.

Pope Benedict has made it possible for more priests to stand up for life, and faith and family...even against their own bishops! For non-Catholics, governance in the Church is a bit mysterious, I realize. Bishops have a great deal of authority, and national conferences of Bishops have another level of authority. The principle of subsidiarity pretty much is operative in the Church, and that means "correction" from the top down only happens when there are serious and clear dangers to faith and morals that are not being handled properly by some lower echelon of shepherds. Benedict has made it clear at least that on abortion, the standard for intervention may well be reached. On immigration there is still more disagreement on the moral requirements than some of us would like to think--including me. I don't share Cardinal Mahoney's view (as far as I understand it) but I do recognize that Christians have sometimes conflicting duties under principles of justice (which means people get what they deserve, including punishments for law breaking) and of charity...

Greg, unless you're Catholic and know what you're talking about, shut up! Not all cardinals are in line with Rome and that's a horrible symptom of the secularism rife here.
Cardinal Mahoney may indeed endorse immigration, but do you know the whole story or are you just spouting your usual garbage?
The Catholic Church is PRO-LIFE in all its forms, and that includes people across the borders who are persecuted for their beliefs, who seek sanctuary through the Church. That is an UNCHANGING FACT of the Church, its tenets and its teachings. Borders or not.
Before you start spouting off, educate yourself in the faith. You offend those of us who ARE cradle Catholics, who believe in the unchanging nature of the theology and who are morally OFFENDED by pelosi, kennedy, kerry, et. al, for buying into secularism rather than following a moral compass.
And THAT is what this post is about--the typical leftist idea of talking out of both sides of your mouth--proclaim to be Catholic while behaving as an atheist? While behaving and proclaiming you're a murderer? That's not the Catholic way and this priest is RIGHT ON THE MONEY in his chastisement of pelosi!

Correction, Miss Beth, if I may. That is not both sides of their mouths they are talking out of.

I'll go you one further. It isn't their mouths that they're talking out of (esp Greg)...
Beth, let a lapsed Baptist boy give you an AMEN!

It seems he will say anything just to argue--he must be an extremely unhappy person if he has to stretch so far daily to attempt to find a way to bring everyone else down to his level of depression and ostrich syndrome!

BRAVO to this BRAVE Priest. We need more Priests and Bishops like this man. If Nancy Pelosi truly believed in her Catholic faith, she would not be able to accept the Eucharist as she would know she was recieving Jesus Chist in his true person, I do not believe she knows or understands her faith at all.

The Priest has NOT ex-communicated Pelosi. She must be ex-communicated PUBLICLY and immediately! Here we are working soooo hard to educate, advocate, save American lives, etc. and this gone-mad-bad "Catholic" high steps around Washington as a fetal-blood & baby-death drooling subhuman from the deepest hell hole this side of a nightmare of misery! Oh, send her letters. Not going to bend her. She could care less! She has gotten away with it and now has other Catholics supporting Pro-Womb War, too! Thanks, Bishops. Thanks, Catholic leaders. It is one thing to "fight" this Womb War, but it is another to "fight" it in my very own spiritual faith community sanctuary. Please! Please! Ex-communicate publicly ALL Pro-Abort Politicians immediately. God is Watching.... does he enjoy watching paint dry? Do I? I demand action! We all do! Enough IS enough! Over It!!!
