I agree, the country is in sad shape in many ways, *BUT*, coming from Neo-Soviet Russia, I think USA has pretty good chances compared to rest of the globe.

Country is only as good as people who work to make it better. In no other country can you, or me, a private citizen, be more active in politics and discussion. We can call our Senators and Representative, we can debunk lies, we can create a campaign of counter-propaganda. We have direct say - even if it is small, but if we gather into a movement, campaign - just like the counter-amnesty thing - we can do great things.

Do you know that when Senate was debating the shamnesty, the Capitol Hill telephone system crashed due to all the calls against shamnesty?

Remember Dan Rather?

We can change things, we can debate and win, if we want to and are willing to sacrifice a small part of our valuable time.

Now, some DO notice and speak out against it and we CAN make a difference, but first those that close thier eyes and do not wish to see, must be made to see what is happening.

We, as citizens, are not silent sheep anymore -- we brought down shamnesty being pushed down our throats (I say that as a legal immigrant against illegal immigration). Are there attempts to make us powerless voting sheep? YES. Will these succeed? Well, let us see, I say.

Today, one person has far more political power -- thanks to Internet -- than whole cities had 100 years ago!
