Well, here I go again. Frankly, all of this stress over a visit to the WTC site that won't happen, and yes, even the Columbia appearance, IMO misses the very important quesiton of the support of a counter-revolution in Iran. It is possible.

I also had no idea that the 1969 demonstrations that I took part in had been so effective...Yeah, yeah, yeah...back then I was very anti-war, demonstrated against ROTC on campus, did that March on DC, and helped organize after the Kent State shootings. That ROTC isn't available on campus almost 40 years later is inexplicable (its not as simple as saying "liberal").

Unless you were there Suek, and involved at the time, you haven't got the perspective on how or why ROTC was eliminated from the Columbia campus in '69...or why any of the stuff that led to it happened.

I am so glad that 35 years ago though.
