Thanks for working hard to increase my son's chances of being killed at war. I really appreciate the support.

God bless your son for his service, madame, you should be proud of him for being willing to step forward to serve his nation. I understand your worries and concerns, as do the other veterans who visit this site. Your son is a brave young man to volunteer for service, especially knowing the risks that are involved in todays world, but indeed, we all would be more at risk were it not for the intestinal fortitude OF these fine young men and women who do give of themselves to keep our country safe.

Well said Hawk
Deanna, as Hawk said, there are several of us Veterans who visit this site. Several of us are from the Viet Nam era. We know the risks and we know the worry that is felt by the family at home.
Our fine young men and women who serve today should be honored for their love of country. We will never fail to shake their hand and thank them for their service.
Many people think that the only war on terror is the one taking place in Iraq. In truth, this is a global war which, unfortunately, will not end during my lifetime.
Deanna, please thank your son for his service for me. Let him know that there are many of us who support him AND support his mission.

Deanna, your post made me cry. Please know that there are many of us out here that pray for your son and all the service men and women every day. Please pass on, from my family and me, our utmost gratitude for what he, and you, are sacrificing for all of us.
Have faith Deanna and know that ours is with you.
