Thanks so much for following your heart and continuing to discourage Americans. Obviously, it will be up to journalists like yourself to save America from flag waving 'patriots' who tend to see a very real difference between American military units, actions and victories and say, exploits of the Waffin SS in WWII.
Without your active support, there is a very real chance that the ME could change and along with it cultural values like gender apartheid and honor killings could become a thing of the past - especially so if America continues to surge.
Thanks for all your efforts to undermine this horrid policy of American arrogance, as if consenual government may free the ME from Presidents for life, Supreme Leaders, Lions of Syria, suicide bombers,kidnappings, beheadings,murderous intolerance and the afore mentioned gender apartheid and honor killings.

I absolutely agree that the manipulated, temporary dip in casualties (not a dip at all if you look at the real numbers) is not such a big story. If it held for a few months, if there was some real progress instead of the usual propaganda then that would be news.
But there is no real progress. A statistical dip is not news. What's news is the right wing grabbing onto whatever fantastical thread they can to show that there is some small tiny "good news" out of Iraq. Is this really the best you can do.
One last thought, "Bush-Bashing is not tolerated." Fine. Free speech has never been a very strong point for Republicans, and now even worse in our Fascist state that used to be the great United States of America.
If you cannot maintain a civil conversation without resorting to "BASHING" then you need mental help, not to be allowed to comment on my small blog.
Just your bringing Bush up in a post that is not relating TO Bush at all, shows your obsession with him colors every comment.

The real story that has been dumbed down or'quagmired' up has got to be that America has turned Iraq into a giant sucking killing machine for Saudi Rejects, Iranian and Syrian Minions and wannabe jihadis. Grinding them up and spitting them out, isolating Iran and Syria (who, are NOT our friends), devouring their resources, cash and volunteers with no caliphate or theocracy or super Iranian leaning majority in the Gov either. Now, THATS a trend worth reporting.
