And to think that these 3 men (who are slightly antiquated) would have the audacity to come up with such nonsense, is unbelievable. This type of narrow mindedness is no different that saying gay people can't get married, black people can't ride in the front of the bus and women shouldn't be allowed to vote. Shame on them for being this outdated. I mean, denying someone that they can't eat at a particular restaurant because they are overweight is defeating the purpose. Just because someone is overweight everyone assumes it's because they are lazy, but that is not the case. DNA, emotional issues, mental and physical factors play in to effect. These men should come to a thought on how they can help these people and not hurt them. Because that what results in people becoming overweight - constant hurt and ridicule. And if they deny them the right to eat where they want, they are going to go somewhere else that will allow them and eat twice as much because of the shame they feel. Hey, I propose this, let's take away driver's licenses for people who reach a certain age. Let's make it the age that these men are. How would they feel if one of their rights would be denied?!

Thank God you have introduced this bill.(House Bill 282) It is about time that the government stepped in to control this problem. The country has already made great strides in controlling peoples smoking habits, we just need to turn our attention to the fat crisis. The next step I would recommend is enter legislation outlawing any food that is not healthy. Such a law would need to have some teeth in it. I would suggest prison terms for both eating fatty food or producing it for sale or distribution.

The entertainment industry would also need some more government control. Movies & TV shows would need to regulated so they don’t encourage people to eat the wrong things. All older movies and TV shows of this ilk would need to banned of course. The internet will have to be closely controlled and monitored.

Of course other countries, with the exception of perhaps North Korea, Iran and maybe China may not go along with our plans, so we would have to greatly increase border security to prevent illegal foods from entering the country. We could still let the “undocumented workers” in though, we don’t want to seem mean.

As time goes on more and more of our countries problems can be solved by more government control. Cheers to you for your effort.

I am also very heartened to you as a Republican championing this cause. Ronald Reagan was very wrong when he said “Government was the problem.”

I am thrilled there are Republican legislators like yourself that know more and more government control is real solution to all our problems.

Here in New York State, where I live, we have champions like Hillary Clinton and Charles Schummer helping us to have more government regulation and here in upstate NY, it is really working out well for us. Yes, our taxes are the highest in nation and people, jobs, businesses and whole industries are fleeing the state but those folks just don’t get it, not like we do? Huh, Mr. Mayhall?

Do these people realize that there are more problems in MS than obesity. The 2 main ones that come to mind is poverty and drugs. I would in a law office and the amount of people that come in here on a daily basis being charged with possession is unreal. Wake up John Read...your County has a big drug problem.
