Gravatar The terrorists are losing and will be known as losers forever. Killing women and children will come back to bite all of them. All of their leaders will end up like the leaders of the NAZI's, in court, convicted and hanged. Several dozen dhimmi's should and may be hanged with the same ropes.

Gravatar I'll negotiate with them. Death by hanging, death by firing squad etc....

Gravatar "The American forces ARE the ones who lost, far worse than the Republican party did."

I wouldn't be so quick to accept terrorist talking-points. It's empty propoganda, and no American should lend credence to what ANY of them have to say. I'm sure our troops don't feel as if they've "lost" because of November's election. As long as we bring in competent leadership and both parties unite to come up with a clear mission for success, we won't "lose".

"Now the terrorists believe they have won. They haven't and they won't."

I agree and I hope we are right. But this somewhat contradicts your previous sentiment.

"they may understand that their best hope of winning the war on terror IS the Democratic party.....but what they did not understand, is you can replace congress, you can replace the senate, but the president is here for two more years and he is NOT WILLING TO CUT AND RUN."

Surprisingly, much of our Republican and Democratic leadership is in agreement that Bush's current coarse isn't the correct way to combat extremism. Bush is, in essence, all alone on a limb.
The war debate has recently been moving more towards realism, although many Republicans and Democrats have been late-coming. Blame Dems if you must, but outside of Bush's inner circle most people, Repubs and Dems, agree that the current plan isn't working. Is it so illogical, then, to vote for change? Hopefully some much-needed bipartisanship will bring that change. Here's also hoping that Bush's new plan, to be announced in a few weeks, will take the first step towards that change.

"Ace wants to know why AQ is hot for us to pull out if our presence in Iraq is, per leftist dogma, such a powerful recruiting tool for jihad. Possible answer: because being perceived as having defeated America would be an even bigger recruiting bonanza. Another possible answer: because they expect a surge in U.S. troops and know things are about to get tough(er) for them, so they’re trying to sweeten the pot re: withdrawal. Yet another possible answer: they fear the Shiites’ rising prestige and want to cast themselves as the real seat of power in the country. And yet another possible answer: it’s just more empty propaganda designed to drive a wedge between the American left and right. Pick your poison.

The perfect argument as to why disrupting a secular country ruled by an iron fist might not have been such a hot idea in the first place...
