Mr. Bolton's wandering op-ed notwithstanding, Naive is the foreign policy we have, a doctrine that has weakened the U.S. and strengthened our adversaries, a doctrine that, specifically, has strengthened and emboldened Iran.

Naive is the belief that reckless U.S. foreign policy does not have ill consequences for us and for the world.

Naive is Mr. Bolton's, and candidate McCain's, belief that four more years of Bush policy will lead to different results.

Naive is the belief that a big stick is much use without soft speech, otherwise known as diplomacy.

Having done more than enough to harm the U.S., the least that neo-conservatives like Mr. Bolton could do is to keep their own naïve policy proposals to themselves.

George Bush has had no scandals in his terms, he has repeatedly asked Congress to pass bills allowing for the U.S. to drill for oil on our own soil,so that we can ease our dependency on foreign oil, he has freed a country of it's heartless dictator and his equally heartless sons. Furthermore, Our economy has done very well until the candidates began campaigning. The unemployment rate was at it's lowest rate ever, the housing market was booming, people were buying cars made in the U.S. If you are looking for someone to blame for the declining state of the economy ,look to Al Gore. If we continue following his suggestions regarding the \"global warming\" fix, we may as well emulate the lemmings, and just jump into the sea! Oh, wait! Then we'd be polluting the oceans! Get real America! Ever heard of EVOLOUTION? We didn't cause the demise of the dinosaurs, nor are we to blame for the demise of the spotted owl, the red-legged frog,etc. While we sweat over cleaning up the emvironment, China and India are polluting the air in reckless abandon, and who's going to stop them?
