You're right on spot with this one -- Mr. Obama's mistakes are being covered in the MSM like he's just an exhausted. Okay, fine, they're just slips of the tongue afforded to no one but Mr. O. But this idea that the far left is above the fray of old politic is one of the biggest shams, and it's supported by many in the media. These ongoing mistakes by Mr. O and the overlooking of them are just another example of old politics by the Obama campaign and much of the MSM -- they suggest that Mr. O's mistake are due to dutiful exhaustion while Mr. M's are distorting, nefarious, and aging. I can hear McCain saying now, \"Mr. Obama has ackowledged that he makes mistakes, quite often, but I guess his new politics doesn't afford any one else to do the same.\"

Then the video will cut to Barack Obama video saying he has been to umm (he thinks about it first, then says) 57 states, missed one and didn't go to Alaska or Hawaii\", then the words on the screen, \"Barack Obama doesn't know how many states are in America\".

Next it will cut to this comment, via video, Thank you, Sioux City!\"

Then on the screen the words, \"Barack Obama was in Sioux Falls, wrong city wrong state\"

Then the kicker... \"Barack Obama doesn't know America and yet he wants to lead her?\"

Just imagine these YouTube clips going viral right before the November elections?

Hillary, as much as I hate to even think it, may be right....Obama may end up being unelectable.

Sure there could be a video done and it would be as over the top as the on on Wright. This contest is well past that stage.... you might want to recall how much spinning and track covering was done for stupid comments and mistakes by Bush Jr. with his mangling of common sense and the English language... He has been given more than a lot of room... He got a free pass....

McCain's video and Hillary's video, if one wanted to waste time doing them would be worse... I think it is best not to go there at all...

Why doesn't the writer of this article focus on the real issues in America rather than trying to make a big deal of a trivial thing. What is it with America these days -- procrastinating or being an Ostrich or both on the issues she needs to address? This foolish talk is only a way to delay the real debate.... I think the bus is headed for the cliff there is precious little time to solve the issues and none for this kind of God help America....

Showing how a candidate reacts under extreme stress and exhaustion is entirely relevant and it's obvious you missed that subtlety. The issues? You mean you think this is the issue? You are not serious? And the issues are not this color or that color, this collar or that collar, man or woman, or other divisive topic. All are treated equal and the votes decide in a democaracy. Let me think now........ Ah how about some of these for important issues:
- the horrendous daily loss of lives and new casualties and the waste of billions in a misguided war,
- the failed efforts to route out Bin Laden and his terrorists
- declining long term security as American leadership continues to misunderstand and mishandle foreign policy, religion generally, and religious terrorists and extremists specifically,
- lack of economic progress in the last 8 years and rapidly growing economic misery for the typical American,
- financial crises - made in America by the way, which are infecting the global financial system and bouncing back in other shapes and forms and knocking on America's door with secondary impacts,
- the decline of the dollar in America and as a global reserve currency,
- the vacuum in health care for millions in a faulty system that desperately needs overhaul to expand and guarantee full coverage while at the same time reducing costs,
- the loss of homes by millions,
- growing social security challenge that is underfunded as boomers rapidly approach retirement,
- the twin skyrocketing budget and current account deficits because of an intransigent President and other leaders who (1) started a false war and must now rebuild the massive devastation and destruction caused and (2) blindly funnel money without sufficient check or balance to American conglomerates such as Haliburton in rebuilding effort, (3) don't know when to \"stop throwing good money after bad\",
- spiraling oil and gas and other commodity prices that are out of control,
- changing America's energy policy to one that would replace oil and gas dependence with truly long term sustainable energy from sun and wind (if Bush had taken his political capital and his principle that popularity does not matter to this issue by dramatically raising the mileage requirements for vehicles at the start of his Presidency among other things it would have been much better spent than on the Iraq war)
- change America's environmental and science policies, which have historically fueled its growth in productivity, return them to unmatched in the world from - stick your head in the sand and pray,
- leading a global attack on the lethally real and exponentially growing environmental issues including pollution, global warming and polluted water, and
- need I go on - you can do this better than I....

Halliburton is bankrupt...as for the energy policy, which do you want? Independence from foreign oil or the purple spotted slug's mating ground saved? Can't have it both ways and we'd have been free of foreign oil 30 years ago except for the envirowhackos. So which is it? We need new refineries, we can use nuclear, and be off foreign oil, but that could have been accomplished 30 years ago--it'll take a while to get the needed infrastructure up and running.

Wondered when we'd get to globull warming as a so-called issue, something which is being debunked daily by real experts who recognize normal earth cycles...

You seem to think we have total control over all issues in the world and it's up to one person to solve them all. Why don't you address the reprehensible dem controlled congress with lower approval ratings than Bush?

Popularity does not matter--it didn't matter to Reagan, why should it matter to Bush or anyone else? This isn't a Miss America pageant, it's leadership of the free world. A bit more than a popularity contest.

You're a passionate man. Here's two things:

Don't you think the character (ethos) and ability of a Presidential candidate need to be established before his agenda driven issues are considered valid? I'd do that with an architect or a baby-sitter. I know many think that Mr. Obama's emotional crusade (pathos) is real pretty, but don't you want to know the truth (logos) behind the mystical oration? Even a little?

Second, your post-facto justification against proactive initiatives doesn't consider what might have been without the action. (This done to at least civilize the debate) Is there a possibility that millions could be dead today and the economy far worse if Iraq was left the way it was? Don't big boys (and girls) need to make big decisions in life? They're not always easy to do, but it could be far worse to hide from them. In the 30's, England estimated it would cost over 300,000 lives to stop Hitler, they hesitated and the toll ended up costing 50million lives. (This, all assuming that a billionaire megalomaniac with designs to build and use WMDs could be a problem for the future of a healthy humanitarian planet.)

Okay, three: Your list is well organized, but it's implying that a vacuum exists where all problems stem back to Bush (or his ilk), isn't there a little too much Pathos in that? The design of the EU, the growth of China, India, Eastern Europe, Russia, etc., hasn't had anything to do with oil demand, dollar decline, etc.? And hate filled radicals (internally and externally) around the globe haven't had anything to do with budgets, hunger, and the ability for collective monies to be used for the humanity needs you discussed? I'm just sayin', the enormity of all the issues can't be blamed on one guy. There are many from both sides of the aisle, and around the globe, that deserve their share.
