Funny the following people didn't know how to use a computer: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, DD Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Garold Ford, Jimmy Carter (he still can't use one), Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and myself. I know email and a bit of surfing, but not much else. If I can't cut and paste I'm screwed.

Actually the ad is rather weak and doesn't fully expose McCain for the lame duck that he is. You really think this ad pokes fun at his disabilities. What injured part of McCain's body prevents him from understanding how the economy works? What injured part of McCain's body prevents him from understanding the damage of not adequately taxing the rich? Oh go on. There's only one answer to that. And it's his BRAIN. LOLOLOLOL

Words fail me. Almost.
First, we have Joe Biden encouraging a handicapped, wheelchair bound Chuck Graham to stand up for a crowd.
Then we have Obama's Law Review Article, the only one he wrote, on the topic of abortion, where he says the state has an interest in " preventing increasing numbers of children from being born in to lives of pain and despair." Got that? If you are pregnant with a child with a possible birth defect, the state has an interest in you aborting it. So much for Trig Palin.
And now we have the latest ad from the Obama/Biden camp making fun of John McCain for not being able to use a computer or send email. Obama/Biden poke fun at McCain, suggesting he is old and doesn't get the new technology.
One small problem.
John McCain's hands were so severly crushed by his torture as a POW, he can't use a keyboard. It is physically impossible for him. John McCain cannot brush his own hair or tie his own shoes. He is a brilliant man, but he cannot lift one of his arms higher than his elbow. Prior to being tortured and having his bones broken over and over, John McCain could fly jets. So let's not pretend McCain is some doddering buffoon who doesn't understand technology.
John McCain is handicapped.
Obama and Biden are asses.

No one has answered you because your questions are sophomoric and idiotic. You apparently don't grasp the mechanics of trickle down economics yourself--you tax the rich and it is passed down to everyone else. The rich are the ones who are PRODUCERS, the ones who HIRE people and create JOBS and taxing them means everyone else gets the same tax in higher prices on goods. Very simple, very common sense, very basic and yet YOU can't seem to grasp that. Typical entitlement mentality. The RICH are currently paying 86% of ALL taxes--but you want to tax them more?
You ARE the weakest link. Go somewhere else where your bleating passes for some sort of intelligence--not here where we know the real facts.
Besides, you're another sicko who can't see just how depraved your candidate has become with supporters putting Trig Palin up for sale on ebay and making ads mocking injuries suffered by a military member, regardless of who that member is--you just see it as par for another day and let's get even stupider.

--thanks a lot for the info--this is really hitting new lows---they use how little time people as a weapon to deception--they just try to create negative impressions--this is truly pathetic from the hope and change guy--but this is how you distract from gross lack of resume and ethical standards--and this is why the american public really should have a right to weekly debates and discussions--the palin situation is the same--the fact is that alaska is one of the "have not" states in many ways and there is therefore a history of receiving from the central government--PALIN IS TRULY A REFORMER--she got in and began to DRAMATICALLY CLEAN UP--she specifically said her aim was to get alaska to the point where they were no longer waiting for cruise ships and government hands outs (something obama wants the entire country to do)--good old "charlie" doesn't get into any of that and makes her sound no better than biden or obama for ear marks--now if the mccain camp comes out and says that they sound like they are belittling and cricizing alaska and the place palin comes from--REALLY we are in debted to alaska because it is the type of place where a talented ethical person with no connections whatsoever CAN become Governor--stuff of the real american dream rather than a not so black man that makes contacts with felons and people with money who hate america then uses the chicago mafia to get himself elected--THERE COULDN'T BE A BIGGER DIFFRENCE BETWEEN THE CANDIDATES but how to work around the means of communication to make it EVIDENT --
ps ECONOMICS 101--the deficit is too big--and it will get bigger if obama pelosi reid take over the government and the country--so vote away JB--mccain disagreed with the tax cuts because he said they should come with spending reductions (obama and binden are on record for huge spending)
MILLER --obama truly knows nothing about economics and less about finance and business--if it were as simple as taking from the rich and giving to the poor then Marxism would still exist in countless countries and we wouldn't have people starving to death all over the world--socialisam doesn't work--go study european countries--their economies are totally dependent on the US--a slow down in the US causes recession for them--and obama wants to bring the US into a european style socialism--but notice he points to no reserch that shows it would work--european style socialism creates a system of nepotism where you get no where unless you have connections--look at china or russia--there are people that buy designer things--they are part of an upper class that is support by a huge lower class--you want that for the US--the US is the only country in the world where a person without money or connections can honestly make something of his or herself--that is why more people want to move to the US than any other countries in the world
ANYONE WHOSE TOP CONCERN IS THE ECONOMY CAN'T EVEN CONSIDER VOTING OBAMA--

The following is from a Barnyard post today: this should be forwarded to a Veterans' Rights group and let them deal with Obama....
They should do some research before putting out demeaning ads like this, he has trouble typing thanks to his years as a POW but he does dictate to his wife or an aide as was reported in the '00 campaign by Forbes, via Ace and Cap'n Ed.:
In certain ways, McCain was a natural Web candidate. Chairman of the Senate Telecommunications Subcommittee and regarded as the U.S. Senate
’s savviest technologist, McCain is an inveterate devotee of email. His nightly ritual is to read his email together with his wife, Cindy. The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. “She’s a whiz on the keyboard, and I’m so laborious,” McCain admits.

Wow this is a really insightful corner of the internet! Ok here we go
1) All computers come with voice command settings. If McCain wanted to use the computer he could just go into his "My Computer" window and click voice interaction. Please spare the world any politicians claims of hardship, really.
2) If you believe reforming the tax code is Marxist you've got some research to do. In the 90's the dems continued deregulation, signed free trade deals like NAFTA, and were pro free market globalization. Wow, lose the stereotypes and read people.
3) I love the fact that Bush bashing will be deleted but call Obama an a**hole is acceptable. Really gives this blog credit and value.
4) I will support McCain/Palin if they win the election. I truly hope they reform and correct the mistakes made in eduction, the huge national debt, civil liberties, foreign bumbling, and the ongoing two front war, and that's not scrcasm or partisan attack. As an American I really mean it for the better of everyone in America Republican, Democrat, or Independent, and heck even for those .5% of Americans that vote for the American Communist party!

First - at least John McCain was man enough to stand up and serve and protect this country, which allows us all to be typing whatever we want on the blog. Seems that Sen. Biden (along with other high democrats, i.e. Slick Willie Clinton) all seem eager to let "other" people defend the country. Second - are people really that out of touch that they are worried about if the president can send an email?? I bet he has enough aides and support people that brief him on things and take care of that. OH WAIT - instead lets pull off a gimmick about how Obama will send everyone who gives him their phone number a "text" so you can be one of the first people to know who his VP is going to be - OOPPSS that got leaked as well, then they had to scramble...well done...if that gets leaked from his campaign - what else will be???

Fact is, this "e-mail/keyboard" ability attack should have never have been used by the Obama campaign.
A worse thing than an inability to use a keyboard (*as shown in the ad*) is an inability to perform adequate research on the internet. Doing so would have uncovered the Globe article from 2000 - and thus would have saved the O campaign from embarrassment.
A very foolish act that will go down with the lipstick comment (which should not have needed any explanation if the comment was delivered properly) as a huge gaffe.
Imo, O thinks that as a member of a "protected group" he can say and do ANYTHING.

Please please please stop using a physical disability has an excuse for not using a computer. Computers are wonderful tools that are used by hundreds of thousands of people with disabilities far worse than Senator McCain's. It is not necessary to be able to type on a keyboard to use a computer. Voice recognition software is easy to use and I am sure the McCain's can afford the modest cost. If he is unaware of the technology that only furthers the point that he is out of touch, not only with technology, but with the disability community. Oh, but wait those of us in the disability community already knew he didn't want anything to do with us...

McCain has more recently stated that he is learning how to work computers, and do his own e-mails. If this was impossible due to his injuries, he couldn't be doing it now.
Fact is, either McCain or his media 'base' (his words) has taken great care to keep his POW-related disabilities a secret. Many people I've talked to note his strained gestures, limited arm and shoulder movements, and have no idea that they relate to war injuries.
While I knew of them, and knew that his motions were limited because of these injuries, I did not know until now of some supposed impossibility to use a keyboard (which appears not to be true, per McCain's own statements).
So, WHO is going to be offended by facts not in evidence to the public? People do not know the connection, and the connection is not apparently true in any case.

Bottom line people--the ad should not have been made and Stinky knew he was crossing the line. To anyone here defending the ad, go back to the sickos at KOS. How's this for a little cold water of reason--there are many people who can't afford a computer, so how does that play into Stinky's "out of touch with America" theme? And how many other candidates have tried to petition the DOJ to stop ads showing the truth of his statements (Stinky)?
For God's sake his followers tried to sell Trig Palin on ebay and you want to defend him and somehow turn this into McCain's fault? Get REAL.
He's hit bottom, he's showing his true colors and anyone defending him at this point is a total loon.

to those "it's easy to use a voice command to operate a computer" morons. It's not easy. Takes a lot of time to set up and it goofs up repeatedly. If I were McCain 25 years ago I would have done the same smart thing he did: Get someone to take dictation. The bottom line is if you are an executive and have time to waste typing emails and searching google (which is in the tank for Obama and limits searching)then you aren't doing your job as effectively as you could. Look up the word "delegate". It's what people who have a lot to get done do to get that lot done. If you think Obama sits down and types the bills he claims to craft you're sorely mistaken and pretty much a dumb idiot. He barely reads them or comprehends them. Obama deserves your vote. By the way, it may interest all of you how Obama actually operates. See letter from McCain to Obama which was printed on regular old paper and delivered in the mail.

Some say, So what if he was handicapped? He could still learn how to send email. Sure, but why would he? Bill Clinton sent two emails during his entire presidency and often admitted he didn’t know squat about the internet.
. . . And the fact that he
’s not blaming his disability hardly sounds like a serious indictment. If he did blame his disability, many of the same folks yelling at me would be complaining that McCain’s whining.
Now, I
’d hardly be surprised if McCain could type for short stretches and all that. The point is, that it’s perfectly understandable why he wouldn’t get in the habit of it.
Oh one last point for now: Lord knows I think the chicken-hawk arguments are stupid. And I don
’t think the fact that Obama never served in the military should count against him in and of itself. But how stupid is it for the Obama campaign to claim that McCain is unqualified to be president because he can’t grasp cyber-security issues based on the fact he has never sent an email when the McCain campaign can just as easily say Obama can’t understand first order national security issues because he’s never fired a rife, flown a plane, commanded men in battle, or faced an enemy? I mean which prepares someone to be commander in chief better, hitting “send” on AOL or fighting a war?
Update II: On the other hand: I don
’t know what to make of this interview with the New York Times. McCain sounds awfully web savvy in it, which makes the Obama ad sound unfair. And if you read it closely, it sounds like he knows how to surf with a mouse, but doesn’t do much by way of typing.
Furthermore, check these clash videos I found yesterday about the US Presidential candidates have talked taxes. Well, it
’s entitled Obama v. McCain on Taxes. Watch these statements - then vote in http://clashorama.com/index.php?id=194

Not to Confuse Libtard with Actual Facts but....
1-John McCain wrote a letter to the SEC and Pres. Bush in 2005, warning them that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Country Wide were making loans to people that they knew could not afford them.
2-That they were bundling a re-selling the loans to banks with no visibility into the loans stability.
3-CountryWide sold 10,000 loans a day (2.5 million a year, 25 million loans since 199 , to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with no checks on borrower income, at 110% the appraised value of the real estate, with two tier loan rates knowing that most borrowers could not affored the second tier.
4-John McCain put all this in a letter in 2005 to the SEC and stated that this practice was endangering the economy and would cause a depression.
5-John McCain asked the Senate to investigate this .
6-Barack Obama and the rest of the Democrats voted against it.
7-Barack Obama recieved over $500,000 in campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The second highest amount in the senate, only topped by Barney Frank the chairman of the banking comittee.
John McCain Understands the Economy.
John McCain called the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac./ Country Wide Loan scam two years before any one else.
This scam covered up by Barack Obama and the democrats is endangering the whole Economy.
Barack Obama took Bribes from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Just like the rest of the Democrats
