I suspect that this is one for the White House Circular File.
That Hillary is quite aware of the fact that Bush is going to implement the Petraeus recommendations and she is doing what she does best and she ALSO knows that August didn't work out for the Democrats in Senate as they had hoped,because their own politicians came back from Iraq admitting progress, so they picked up no support for their amendments of surrender and she is pandering again to her far left base.
She knows that Bush holds the votes and they cannot scrape up enough votes to surrender and definitely not enough vote to override a presidential veto if they did managed to pass a surrender amendment.
She panders hoping then she will not be blamed by her base for not retreating in defeat.
It is obvious and pandering is what she does best.
I wish she would pander to the wingnut left a little more.
If she would do that, the moderate dems and fence sitting republicans would have a clearer idea of who she is and we wouldn't have to hold our breath and wait till election day.
WE HERE know who she is, but I am afraid that most Americans, who watch (maybe) 15 minutes of news a week, don't have a clue.

I suppose that it's a fortunate thing that this wasn't me in this young lady's shoes. My response would have been "that's fine, that's just dandy," and the next day, since the Confederacy isn't a nation, I would most CERTAINLY have shown up wearing the Confederate flag instead.
