So of course we'll see fellow New York Democrat Hillary condemn the Governor for his dishonorable actions and demand his immediate resignation, yes?
After all, the Democrats neverget into trouble by thinking with the wrong body part. They're the guardians of integrity, after all.
Hillary of course would know all about that.

I wouldn't hold your breath, but frankly being the Senator and elected representative of the people of New York, such as it is, and a presidential candidate, Hillary should be questioned on this and as soon as possible.
Her reaction would be telling. Certainly Hillary Clinton of all people wouldn't stand for this kind of thing in her administration, no doubt.
Right, Bill?

It's about time Spitzer leaves office. I personally don't think Hoookergate is the worst thing he has done, but if that is what finally removes him from office, so be it.
Spitzer should apologize to far more than just his wife for the atrocities he has committed.
He should apologize to the thousands of former employees of NYRA and Marsh and McClellan whose jobs he destroyed during his politically motivated investigations when he was attorney general.
He should apologize to the millions of taxpayers who have to pay higher taxes because of his agreeing to give New York's overpaid legislature a pay raise.
He should apologize to the millions of New York Catholics whose faith based health care facilities he tried to drive out of business with his abortion policies.
He should apologize to the State Police for illegally using them to snoop on State Senate Leader Joe Bruno.
He should apologize to Joe Bruno for illegally using the state police in an attempt to smear him.
He should apologize to all the immigrants in New York (both illegal and legal) for using them as political pawns with his drivers' license scheme.
He should apologize to the state's Democrats for the damage he has done (and will do for years to come) to that party.
And Client 9 should apologize to every New Yorker for making the state the biggest laughingstock in the nation.
The sooner Spitzer is out of office, the better New York will be.

I don't care that he is involved with hookers, but I think I am correct to say that prostitution is illegal in New York. So...I think your position that it is OK as long as he wants to have "some fun" is quite trumped by law.
But I suspect you are a LIberal, and that means as long as a Liberal does something illegal, it's OK?
Hey, the guy has been a dirt bag for many, many years. This is just a minor offense on his list of abuses. I just love the fact that Clinton, in her never-ending quest for power, has hitched her raggedy ass onto this clown!

He cannot claim this is a personal matter. We should be asking who knew about his indiscretions,
how long they have have known, and what favors they tried to extract from the governor before this became public.
The same questions that were never answered in the Clinton/Lewinski/Goldstein affair.

Spitzer's Dilemma: "Eliot Snoozer" 11-02-2006
Lawyer Practicing in New York Admits Advising That Death Threats Are Legal;
Eliot Spitzer Snoozes According to bankruptcyMisconduct.com
NEW YORK, Nov 02, 2006 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- A lawyer admitted to practice in New York and Federal Courts conceded a transcript filed in court contained an accurate portrayal of a conversation in which the lawyer advised his client that it was perfectly fine to threaten to kill someone.
Eliot Spitzer was the elected Attorney General for the State of New York, with ultimate responsibility to enforce the law as well as to uphold the purported ethical standards for attorneys in New York State by following and supporting The Lawyer's Code of Professional Responsibility. Eliot Spitzer has managed an office which rattled the boardrooms of big business throughout the state as he delighted a skeptical citizenry with numerous assaults on corporate misdeeds. Countless industries have had their often secret business practices brought before the courts and thrust into the light of day; except of course, for perhaps the most secretive and lucrative "profession."
Powerful law firms continue to operate above the law and beyond scrutiny. Sadly, Mr. Spitzer's talent for appearing as a zealous foe of corruption and wrongdoing ceases where brethren of the bar are concerned. Apparently Mr. Spitzer believes every business is bad except his own.
Do voters want an Attorney General who protects his partners and associates while prosecuting only those unworthy of special protection? If elected, will Andrew Cuomo continue the Spitzer legacy of Law Firm Protectionism? What could voters expect from Mr. Spitzer as Governor?
This release was authored by bankruptcyMisconduct.com and was not sponsored, advised, or funded by any candidate for office. Statements herein other than fact are opinion and readers are urged to become fully informed of the issues. Documents evidencing factual elements of this press release are public record at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan SDNY 02-13533 docket numbers 17315, 17315A copies available at http://www.bankruptcymisconduct.com.

We received some comment from the media questioning the accuracy of the above press release. While we agree that it seems unbelievable, it is true and fully verifiable. Immediately below is an excerpt of the hearing in front of U.S. Bankruptcy judge Arthur J. Gonzalez during which the attorney admits that the transcript which was filed was accurate, in fact the attorney surmises that the conversation was recorded. click here (http://www.bankruptcymisconduct.com/site/
dmdocuments/ExerptAttyConcedesTranscript.pdf) for a view of the hearing transcript from the Worldcom / MCI bankruptcy case. While admitting that the transcript of the conversation was accurate, the lawyer and the federal judge surmise that the conversation was recorded. The original motion was filed as docket number 17315 which you can get here, and docket number 17315A has the exhibits which you can get here. If you want only the coversation transcript, which was not originally made during an official proceeding but was conceeded as accurate by the lawyer, it was exhibit C to the motion which you can get here. Following is a highligted excerpt. The attorney's remarks certainly suggest a 3057 referral, unclear is whether the "I" highlighted in red below was a referrence by the attorney to another party who would be hired to perform the killing, or that other parties are threating a killing.

What do you expect. With the introduction of the Internet, escorts are available everywhere.
It's not like you have to drive around seedy areas and pick them up on street corners anymore. Just look at sites like Eros Guide (not sure of their web address) and The Verotic Guide www.veroticguide.com. They have their only online communities built for Escorts and their customers with chat rooms, instant messaging, ads etc.
When we allow it to be that accessible, people are going to do it.
Yes, even public officials - they are human too.

It's amazing. The Left cries out that a Republican caught in a similar situation has to resign immediately. But the moonbats are lining up defending Spitzer saying it's "politically motivated" and "a victim-less crime".
Let's get something straight here: Spitzer, as NYAG, was the most political prosecutor in the country. He broke the law on a number of occasions going after New York Republicans with wiretaps and smear campaigns, especially his gubernatorial opponent Joe Bruno.
And once again, I want to see Hillary on record condemning this action, as well as Obama.

It doesn't bother me that a man, whose wife isn't enough for him, pays the going price for consenting consensual consexuality. That's a private matter, as his cigar was with Clinton.
But apparently it bothers a lot of people, and, BY HIS OWN ADMISSION, it bothers Spitzer himself, who admits that he has violated what he considers his own high standards of honesty. If he himself considers it a major breach of his public trust, of course he should resign, and the public ought to review the trail of alleged abuses of power that he left behind in New York City. They might finally ask why he won none of those high-profile cases in court.
Just how did he get to be Client#9 out of 50 clients? Did he persecute them with threats of prostitution prosecution?
I even wonder if he was set up for an FBI sting by a ring that he's been extorting the way Greenberg said he threatened him pesonally. Maybe that's where he got the funding...

GOV. SPITZER DESERVES A BENEFIT OF DOUBT AND FORGIVENESS
New Yorkers Should Not Rush To Judge Gov Spitzer
I have just heard the news of Gov. Elliot Spitzer being implicated in patronizing a prostitute.
This is one of the saddest news I have ever heard in New York besides the 9/11 tragedy.
However, New Yorkers should breathe a sigh of relief that the tryst involved a woman and not a man like the New Jersey case.
Besides the woman involved is not one of his staff! (Or an intern.)
Gov. Spitzer is among the most intelligent Americans.
And sometimes intelligent men can make serious errors.
Infact only very intelligent people are capable of making serious errors!
Can you imagine a moron making an error?
I do not think that having a tryst is a big crime, so the question of Gov Spitzer resigning should not arise.
What may annoy many people around the country is that as New York Attorney general, his cases included a few criminal prosecutions of prostitution network and tourism involving prostitutes.
In 2004, he was part of an investigation of an escort service racket in New York City that resulted in the arrest of 18 people on charges of promoting prostitution.
However, let me point out that there have been other political leaders, both Republican and Democratic who have had sex scandals.
Does anyone remember Gary Hart and Donna Rice scandal?
How about Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID) and Sen. David Vitter (R-LS),( the latter two known for their strong conservative politics and agenda of "family values.")?
Millions of people all over America and the world visit and sleep with hookers and watch porn online.
Almost 60% of American women and girls are directly or indirectly involved in prostitution or porn.
Just Google for porn sites and see millions of porn sites and millions of porn Actresses who act in them and billions of porn movies.
(For general porn industry statistics, go to: http://familysafemedia.com/porno...s.html#anchor4)
So, to the bull dogs, his detractors, anyone who has never had a tryst; anyone has never slept with a hooker or watched a porn movie and who is very self righteous and who may want to pounce on Gov. Spitzer, I say take it easy and back off.

A tryst is a far cry from systematically depositing money from several bank accounts into an account owned by a high level prostitution ring so you can meet a whore in a hotel.
You need to grab your closest dictionary and read the definition of tryst and then try and compare that to the word prostitution. Believe it or not, one is illegal by 49 state laws.
I sense that those who think breaking the law, which this Spitzer did, also feel that Mexicans coming into the U.S. illegally is OK as well, since the law was broken in both cases.
If we are to be a society built on the mutual respect of the law, then civic-ignorant Americans are going to have belly up to the bar and lose their laissez-afaire attitude.

What Gov. Spitzer did was deplorable and shocking and he also said that in his apology speech. What I am arguing is that some of us (including me) are subject to making the same mistakes if we have the opportunity and for that reason he should be given a benefit of doubt and forgiven.

The sad thing aboiut this is that it adds another name to the super-hypocrite rolls. Trust in government just dropped another point, which puts it below zerop, I suppose. So far, though, he has faced up to the situation well, apologizing, but not admitting he did anything wrong...yet.

Eliot Spitzer is a Left Wing "do gooder", East Coast creep (kind of redundant, I know!). He cost many innocent investors millions of dollars, especially in retirement-type funds, during the Enron, etc. media-driven "let's get'em, boys" frenzy. How? Frivilous and fraudulent lawsuits. This parasitic clown pounced on any and every fallible company. Why? Very simple. To make a political name for his scuzzy ambitions. Well, Guv, you are well known now. I sincerely hope they hang you, mother fucker!!

scogostology.com, I'd like to disputeyour view that Eliot should be forgiven because other people have been caught with their hands in the same cookie jar, and tits nit as bad as dome other crimes. Spitzer himself has acknowleged that he broke the pubilc trust that he was responsible for uppholding. What better agrument for a resignation? He would with absolute certainty have demanded (and did demand) no less from any of his opponents in the past, for misdeeds that were not even illegal. It is entirely fitting that he be held to the unytielding standards that got him elected governor.
Best Regards,
