my understanding is that unless you make more than 250K a year, your taxes won't go up. super wealthy people are the only ones i hear complaining about obama's tax plan. thoughts?
That is because instead of looking at the plan, you simply believe what you are told. Try reading the plan, then comment, you may just be a little more informed.
You know I think that this is part of the problem with our economy. Since polls are showing Obama ahead and investors know that his economic policies will kill our economy they are getting out and taking their cash.
My husband likes the way Obama gives speeches and debates. He watched last night in a different room from me. We're both independents and sometimes vote differently. We then discussed what we heard. When I asked him if Obama answered some of the questions, he replied yes. He doesn't follow the news or get on the internet as I do. So I told him, let's go on line and look up what was asked of him and the answers and see if you agree or disagree with him after we do that. He was quiet surprised to find that not only did Obama not answer questions but tried to cover up the truth by smooth talking. My husband thought it sounded good to tax people who made more than ourselves until I put it in terms he could understand....I said plainly. Babe, you see that gun cabinet over there that belongs to you that you have worked hard to collect over all these years. No one helped you do it. You worked for every $ to pay for them. He said ok!..Then I said well, that's like me coming in here and telling you I think that you bought over $250,000 worth of guns and it's high time you give a few of them to some of your friends and people you don't know! And I want you to let me do it for you. See I think I Know whats best for you. No need for you to have any input because it goes to me to give them out!...lol....Yep, that went over good!....lol....Now that was terms he could understand and helped him see past all the smooth talking....Sometimes you only have to stop and think what is yours and not others. I like helping those who need it. We don't make $250,000 a year but I don't believe in playing Robin Hood with other people's money! I sure don't want the government taking more money from folks who have made it and giving it to the government to give out to others. The system is broke and has been for over 30 years. Taking a hachet to the system and throwing those out that don't deserve it would be a starting point.
Good comparisons and explanations from you bama. Joe the Plumber, is actually "Joe the Average American". Obama is way off course to state that small businesses don't make over $250,000 - That's not a hell of a lot of money for a small business to bring in. I know of probably a dozen or more that rake in that money, and good for them - they are hard working, honest people. And a lot of those small businesses share their "wealth" when they can. When I worked for a small business, I was given a bigger Christmas bonus than the boss was able to take! The Messiah just about crashed and burned yesterday with his comments about "Joe the Plumber" - now intelligent citizens have heard and seen him for what he really is - Average American Joe needs the wealthy just as Joe the Plumber said -afterall, they supply the jobs - the government doesn't supply the jobs - corporate America does! And when the hell is Obama going to give back all that "contribution" money he got from Fannie Mae? He needs to throw it into the pot with all of the taxpayers' monies for the bailout.
