I feel very sad for the students who were denied the opportunity to see what service to one's country really means, firsthand, by those who have served.

I think VFF's financial backers and 527 status as a policital group hurt their cause. Wouldn't this group be just as effective if were made up of veterans from a little older era.
Also, why are there two smiling Republicans with the VFF members on the front page.

You make a very good point. This was supposed to be a "Nonpolitical" event run by a "Nonpartisan" organization. But then having VFF representatives smiling in front of the cameras with elected Republicans makes the claim of being "Non Partisan" a little Disingenuous.
Why are two Republicans smiling in the picture with them? Have you ever known ANY politician to pass up a good photo-op?
And why is this nonpartisan group scheduled to meet with the Republican Jewish Veterans in DC on 8 April?
Is that who purchased their nice motorcoach?

you say same on the school it is not because of the soldiers coming to the school it was because they wanted to have a political rally outside are school that day, that is why they did what they did. maybe you should get your facts straight before you same shame on the school. people that knew about it and wanted to got to go.
I support our troops because my unit is on its way to Iraq soon i wish i could go with them. But i have not gone to basic yet.
That had nothing to do with the tour NOR question or answer period INSIDE the school, so do not try to distract.
