Personally I think the parents of this young lad should have a real heart to heart talk with the police and a sit down with the boy regarding why one does not bring a toy grenade to school.

Do parents not talk with their children anymore or at least check in with them once a week? Sheesh.
The parents clearly failed here especially if they approved of the kid taking it to school in the first place.
