$\"Gravatar\"$ I think it's far past panic mode. The leaders of the party would have to be aware of the panic, but they aren't. They still believe that the country that elected the Democrats for no other reason than to punish the GOP is still behind the Donks.

They rightfully gave the Democrats an honest chance to improve the country through compromise, a cowed Bush needed some opposition in order to correct his more egregious spending and amnesty habits. But to call the results a failure is an insult to failure itself, failure implies an attempt at success at some point.

The Dems were only in it to hurt Bush for their own personal gain. They ended up weakening this country during a time of war.

I honestly believe the country is so fed up with our current political system that we'll need to rip it out and start over again, honestly. The GOP has some hope left in it, but the Democrats as they exist right now can't and won't survive the coming political changes.

They're even less interested in political reconciliation than the Iraqis, it seems.

Hillary has all but been crowned as their choice in 2008. The latest Zogby poll asked a very interesting question: Who would you NEVER vote for President?

Guess who won?

Not only did Hillary come out on top as the most despised candidate, but 50% of likely voters said they would never vote for her under any circumstances.

How can the Dems win the White House in 2008 when their presumptive candidate has already lost the election?

The answer is that they can't. And Hillary's numbers will only get worse as the news from Iraq gets better.

By all means Dems, nominate Hillary. There's no possible way she can win in 2008, and as she goes down in flames, so will the Democrats in Congress. And when the hate-fueled moonbats on the far left realize that the Democrats were only using them, they'll split the party in half. They'll be broken for a generation.

And then the rest of us can get back to winning Iraq, winning against AQ, and getting this country back to where it must be in the 21st century.
