If there really is any justice in this world -- which in some of my darker moments I've begun to question -- this hateful, selfish and ignorant cult will be sued out of existence. The very thought that a grieving father has been forced to go to court AT A TIME LIKE THIS is enough to make you sick to your stomach.

This cult an others like them is one of the reasons the Patriot Guard Riders came into being. Typically, a flag line is set up between the family and the scum. If the crap gets loud enough for the families to hear, the bikes are turned on.

When I first read this early this morning, I went to their web site and could not for the life of me see how they are justified in God's eyes.

I am against the war. However I agree that there are some lines that should never be crossed. I attended the funeral of a young man killed in Iraq, by invitation, and said nothing political to anyone there because it was not the time or place to do so.
At the same time, I question your labeling this post, 'anti-war left,' which is misleading. I am a member of the 'anti-war left' and protesting at a funeral for a fallen soldier is one thing that nobody I know on the left would ever do. A church protesting tolerance towards homosexuals certainly is not part of the 'left,' not part of it at all.
Code Pick is anti-war left. this group is an anti-war left group. Therefore the label applies.
Just because your method of being anti-war left, doesn't mean that many on the left DO use these tactics.

I don't think that WBC is "left" (they would never get along with any self-respecting "leftie") or even "anti-war" - they are anti-American - they are anti-EVERYTHING - they don't care about anything but their warped view of God - they hate everyone and they hate themselves. That's OK - I hate them too, for trying to defile soldiers' funerals and for their rabid hate of everyone else.
