Wow this is great to finally hear someone is taking firm action against the Westboro Baptist Church. The type of mental and emotional abuse those children are being faced with daily is absurd. The children are not old enough to understand one-third of the issues in which they are forced to protest on. If the church wants protection for their actions under the freedom of speech, what about the poor children, and their freedom? Who is protecting their right to NOT protest? The social ostracization they face at school brought solely upon them by their adult figures and their affiliations is not right. I am proud the prosecution has held firm and processed the charges individually so they would stand, and stand strong. It is groups like these which lead us towards a police state, abusing such wonderful rights as free speech. By abusing rights we only leave the policing and defining to law makers. Social guidance is a must on issues which pertain to our rights, if we stand back and allow groups to take advantage of our freedoms and spoil them for the rest of us we will fall into a deep-hole, which we will not be able to climb out of so easily.
