I am pleased to see that I am only one of many Democrats that will not vote for a candidate installed by Party leaders. It was obvious to me that Obama and Dean were in one another's pants, and the other Democrats in the race were being slowly squeezed out. Hillary couldn't have won, and Dean, Brazile, Pelosi, Kennedy and Kerry were part of a concerted effort to make sure of that. I have re-registered as an Independent, and will be supporting McCain. The DNC will pay a heavy price for their shenanigans, not just in this election, but in many to come. I have always donated generously to the Democratic Party in the past.....but those days are over.

Welcome to the fold Hako. I was once a loyal Democrat, but as I have said in the past, I didn't leave the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party left me.

I have been a staunch Republican all my life. This election has opened my eyes to the depths that politics have sunk to. Obama is a scary person - no positive record to point to and McCain does NOT represent my values and beliefs. It is counter-productive to wish for another Reagan, but I do anyhow!

You go Debra!! I am beside you ALL the way! I REFUSE to vote for a candidate who I believe to be UNQUALIFIED for the Presidency of this United States. Obama quite frankly, scares the hell out of me. HILLARY was the best candidate period. Our beloved country is in trouble.

Every American has the right to vote for whoever we want. Our reasons does not have to be acceptable or reasonable. But an elected official like Debra Bartoshevich shoudl remember that by accepting to represent the people, she gave up her right to represent only herself. She now represents the will of the people that elected her. Also if we offer a public opinion or reason for our choices, I think it insults our intelligence when facts are not tendered:
Fact: We don't know Obama very well because he has not been in public office that long.
Fact: Clinton has been in public office longer than Obama.
Fact: Clinton has had no executive experience or Foreign affairs experience that would notably qualify her, or make her so qualified that someone who claims to be a democrat will ignore her constituent and vote for the other side.
Fact: History has shown that lack of experience by virture of long political career should not disqualify Obama or make him a bad president. History has also shown that the people with "lots of experience" do not necessarily make good presidents.
Fact: Dean, Brazile, Pelosi, Kennedy and Kerry did not make Obama the nominee. They have no such powers. Obama won over 17 million votes from Americans voters at the voting stations.
Fact: No person however great can win judgement against the people. So Debra Bartoshevich should rethink her mandates.
Fact: If Clinton had has much scrutiny and bashing as Obama did during the primaries, she would not have survived it. She failed because she underestimated her oponent. Lets give Obama some credit: An African American, nobody, came from nowhere (lack of experience, ah?) and sucker punch the biggest political machine America has. He outplanned, outmanaged, outmanouvered, outran, outraise-money than the clinton machine. Can you Imagine how much more he can be if he has the weilding power of a president? Now if you were truelly thinking straight, wouldn't you want such a person to be your next president? With his kind of brain, I believe we will catch Osama Bin Laden and provide better care for our children and elders. So wake up people can call Debra Bartoshevich the spade that she is. Yes, she should be dissapointed that her candidate lost. yes, she has a right to vote for whomever she wants. But she has no right to tell us her constituent does not matter or the millions of people that voted for Obama or clinton does not matter. Those where Democrats. Is she a democrat?

I have never seen such bitter ignorance in my life. You're just a bunch of SORE LOOSERS who can't move on and unite. Are we kids on the playground? You didn't win so you kick some dirt, make a fuss, take your ball and leave? Grow the hell up!!!! Another 4 years of this administration will kill this country. Take a look around, things are getting UGLY!
and it's all in YOUR party--we're conservatives here, laughing hysterically while you eat your own. Pull your head out and learn how to read a post and discern a site's political leanings.
