Good God, all of them, including the shooter were kids! How the hell old is this moron?
I haven't heard a WHOLE lot about the incident, but what I've heard is it was a pizza party and the shooter was only 20 himself, and it was his spurned affections that led to him snapping. I also heard his family is absolutely devastated at his actions and what he did.
Even at 20, working as a cop/sheriff, you don't have full control of your emotions and haven't outgrown stupidity. He was just a kid himself.

OK - Some things don't deserve our attention, but what bothers me other than the obvious ignorance of this person is that it gives fodder to the liberals of the world to say "look at those right-wing nutcases". That they are Teens and acted totally stupid does not justify their being cut down as they were.
I have watched as school shootings were semi justifed because someone called the shooters a name. They were "humiliated," we are told and enraged.
What utter bunk! If every one of us who were ever called a name and didn't like it shot whoever did the name calling, not too many people would be left alive.

Would be a good start to bringing this nation back to its senses. We do not need to force religion on everyone, but we do need to force the institution of common sense values which our children no longer receive.
It used to be memorization of these values stuck with you as you grew older.
Today, the memorization is of TV gangsta killings on TV, video, games. There are no absolutes. Without absolutes, there is only relative positions that stand on opinion. Murder is no longer murder. "they deserved it" or "they grew up in a bad family" or "they were abused as a child" and any number of other excuses are allowed for victimization.
I grew up without a father, mainly on TV as my mother worked. Fortunately TV still taugh some values back then, but it changed quickly and guess what - so did my values!
TV, Media influences every being of a child from emotional development to social interaction, peer pressure and even political decisions. TV, liberal Media is out of control.
and yes, I blame much of it for the mess we live in today because it use to be TV taught wholesome values of goodness to children.
Today? Children can turn on anything at anytime and be exposed to all the wrong messages and not understand it is just "fiction" or that the messages are wrong.
God was rejected and 10 Commandments moved out of school. TV changed. From the 60s on up, our lives are now at the whims of secular, socialist and atheist mainly in TV and schools. They teach despair, no purpose for being here, no golden rules, anything goes, sex anytime with anyone or anything, and they teach deceit, revenge, and killing.
Just turn on the TV. It is there. And with half of homes now single parent homes - one of the fulltime parents that children spend most of the time with is the Devil himself.... and I do not mean old horns and tails....
I mean the liar, the false accuser, the one that says all this stuff is ok, chaos, disorder, and rebelliousness against parents.
None of this will end until people themselves rise up against the insidious behavior patterns taught to our children by the likes of GE, Viacom, NBC, MTV, VH1, Showtime, HBO, etc., etc.
My life was extremely influenced by TV growing up as it was my "nanny" while Mom worked. Anyone else who does not admit this, is either lying or has a very involved parent who strictly watches all media in their home.
I'll say it one last time for emphasis. At first, TV Nanny or Daddy was OK. Bonanza, Gunsmoke, ConjunctionJunction, AfterSchool Specials all taught lessons how to live honerable lives to children and even adults. But as I grew older and as HBO came in and other channels, my mind got steadily warped. Drugs,
Michael, in my mind it ALL goes back to parental responsibility. Parents should determine what their kids watch and face it, if they taught kids right from wrong, a tv show won't "make"them do anything.
Parents need to be parents again and stop trying to be friends.
Spree and Michael, I agree--I have been laughed at, scorned, reported to CPS for cruelty, called in by teachers--the whole nine yards.
Why? Because I literally censor EVERYTHING my kids see, read, movies rented, computer time, music, literally EVERYTHING. I'm "too harsh" on them. I make them go to Mass on Sundays. My son was in cub scouts from the time he was a Tiger Scout (1st grade) until I couldn't do it anymore--I started out as Sec/Treasurer and wound up as District Commissioner because I refused to be a "drive by" parent--if my son was involved, so was I. Same when they were altar servers and had prayer groups out the ying-yang.
When times were tough and I had to work two jobs, my friend watched the kids and all my work went down the tubes. Why? Because she was such a "progressive" mom--didn't censor her kids in any way. It got so bad with her own kids she had to BEG neighborhood kids to play with hers--no one wanted to be around them.
So, now, as teens, I'm having to re-do all the work I did before. My son was banned from my house from mid-April 2007 until school started--why? Disrespect and drug use. I got a kid back who laughs, respects me, does his chores--but I had to take a firm stand.
And I'm a single mom. It ain't easy, but you have to make a choice--either the secular world is more important or your kids are. I choose my kids.
