I would have already written off this Congress except for the fact that right now, some of the most vital legislation this country has ever needed has come before it for votes, namely the raft of national security measures America must have passed.

The Democrats are delaying it. What they are doing amounts to yeoman's work for America's enemies, and I think a large chunk of concerned Americans on both the left and the right know the Democrats leading Congress are doing nothing more than playing cheap political games.

They also know they are playing those games at the potential risk of denying our country the ability to prevent the next terrorist attack.

I don't know how many times I have to say this, but I have to think that a large part of America agrees with me on this point: When do we start calling what the Democrats are doing in a time of war what it truly is? When you aid, comfort, empower and embolden our enemies and hinder and delay America's efforts to stop them, it is treason.

It will take another 9/11 on our soil before the majority of Americans believe that. I only pray that the fate of the country can be changed in 2008 before that happens.
