One of the hardest things for me to understand as a newly born Christian was the need to admit, humbly that my sins are as red as anyone elses.
What I've learned is that Pastors who do not preach this message, but who rail against others by ethnic or liberal theology as justification are false preachers.
Anyone preaching like Wright should normally be tossed and defrocked. He teaches hatred; not love, selfishness; not charity, Revenge now; not Faith Eternal.
He teaches opposite of all things Christ. Christ teaches we are to love precisely those who hate us. And that a teacher who misleads Christ flock is doubly punished. Christ teaches us to love our neighbor, even our enemy. Why? Because they, our neighbor, our enemy do not know the light of the true, living G_d. And that to turn the other cheek is the message, not thou shalt hate those that hate you. That is easy. Or, that we should only love our brothers and sisters, anyone can do that. Or that we are to only love whites or blacks or latinos. We do not dived by looks on the outside but by spiritual discernment on the inside.
Even as Wright is Wrong, we are even called to pray for him, that he may leave all his anger and hatred behind and embrace the loving words and principles taught to us thru the Torah, the Prophets and our Savior.
This indeed is the hard thing to do. Whatever hatred he has in his heart from past experiences is a choice now as an adult. He can continue to hold everyone of white color as evil and leave them unforgiven. But then, he cannot pray the prayer Christ taught us all.
Lord, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that tresspassed agaisnt us. But even more insidious, is to teach such hatred and villication to his congregation that blindly follow him. We should pray for his flock, that they may open their eyes and in seeing, leave for another church that is the true fruit of the vine.
Again, this is not easy as any reaction is to detest those that hate us. Today, I feel sad for his soul and for those he teaches if they are misled nto false doctrine.
Christ so loved.... the world, not white, black, red, he loved the world. Wright has deep psychological issues he must face and renounce. A good friend would tell him this truth.
He has put his past above forgiveness, his color above God and has left the grace of Christ on the threshing floor not to be harvested as precious grain, but walked upon as fodder for infection of an ideology foreign to Yeshua and an abomination to Hashem.
