My hat is off to these people for stepping forward and speaking out. It is the individual that makes the difference, as is evidenced by the season we are entering. Whether you believe Jesus Christ was the son of God, a prophet and teacher, or just another religious leader with a following, the fact is, his life DID impact the world, and has for the past 2000 some odd years.
Fanatacism can be stopped, but it takes people willing to do what these people have done to do it.
I'm glad you posted this. While there are obvious problems with Islam according to the rest of us, extremism is at the root of the war on terror. They are not truly Muslim, definitely they are not religious or spiritual. If you delve into their moral goings on you can see that. We defintely need more Muslims to step up to the plate and offer the rest of us more proof that they are closer to being a relgion of peace than a religion of violence.

These past few weeks have brought hope that Muslims and Jews, both the children of Abraham can find common ground.I appreciate the stand taken by leading Jewish organisations in condemning the hateful remarks made by Senator Goode about Islam and Muslims.
We need to be embracing the good of the Muslim people and BOTH speak out against the extremists.
We MUST be able to separate the two in our minds, because to say "one is bad, they all are bad" is NOT the way forward.
