Gravatar Give 'em hell Fred!

Gravatar Patraeus is a political hack.

MoveOn should continue to exercise its 1st Amendment rights.

After all, Patraeus works for THEM, since they are a citizen organization.

Gravatar You better be able to PROVE any allegations you make here OEST.

Otherwise your words are nothing but a desperate pathetic attempt to smear a man with 35 years of dedicated service to this country.

So, where is your proof?

Gravatar The ads against General Petraeus were a disgrace to Dems. They show how entitled the Democratic party has become and rather than being run by unionists, it is now controlled by geeks with keyboards from Silicon Valley and San Francisco. It's not representative of Democrats, however, it has taken over.

Gravatar So, it's okay for Dems to whine when it comes to the extreme right for assailing Kerry's service record, but it's NOT okay for the Repubs to do the same when a four star general is mocked in the media via a slanderous ad? Do the Dems understand how this organization is a detriment to them? I guess not. How sad.

Gravatar I'm having trouble seeing a problem with MoveOn's portrayal of the General's carrying the Administration's personal water as a betrayal of America. It is exactly that. Our troops signed up to defend this country, and instead they are being used as sitting ducks in the Iraqi Civil War shooting gallery.

President Bush, in a desperate Hail Mary to salvage a shred of "legacy" for this sorry presidency, is throwing more lives senselessly down the drain. And in the process he is engendering MORE hatred toward us and helping Al Qaeda recruit MORE young Muslim men into terrorism (this has been documented by 18 of our intelligence-related agencies). Gen. Petraeus, playing the good soldier as Colin Powell did, is following orders. The problem is that the intellectually bankrupt and developmentally-challenged person he takes them from has his own agenda that has absolutely zilch to do with the good of the country.

With their ad, MoveOn is supporting the troops far more than any blind-Bush-following supporter of the continued occupation. I don't know if you are old enough to know the history of our involvement in Vietnam, but this episode of "Five O'Clock Follies" is following lockstep in that tradition. If you aren't familiar with that term, I suggest you read up. Good luck.

(And if you need to interpret this as "Bush Bashing" so that you can delete it and not have to look at it, then I suggest you consider how far down the road of dictatorial sycophancy you have trod, and what that means for the integrity of your independent self.)

So, it's ok for Repubs to whine when it comes to the extreme left for questioning Gen. Petraeus' integrity, but it is NOT ok for the Dems to do the same when the right does worse to Kerry, Murtha, Clarke, Cleland et al?

Gravatar Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

These idjits do not know the difference between a General leading in wartime with the lives of hundreds of thousands of soldiers under his care and a politician who says thing that beg to be questioned.

How sad for them.

Gravatar Mark, your "assumption" that he is carrying anyones water IS the problem. This is a man who has devoted his life to defending OUR country AND your right to make asinine statements.

Attacking him with no proof is what Move On and other groups DO because he IS the one in charge, he IS seeing progress and the Democratic party has waged heavily on his failure.

So when he sees success, they move to discredit him because they cannot admit they were wrong.

Michelle exactly, but it isn't that they cannot tell the difference, they WILLFULLY ignore the difference.

Gravatar Nah...HH had it right...the left is mad because Petraeus DIDN'T READ THE SCRIPT THEY GAVE HIM which told him he had to lose...he did the RIGHT thing and gave an HONEST assessment and, like roaches that can't stand the light, the left can't stand ANYTHING positive and certainly NOTHING that shows significant progress in just 3 months...in their eyes, Petraeus is a traitor because he DIDN'T FOLLOW THEIR SCRIPT...and to them that's the ultimate betrayal.

I, for one, am DELIGHTED he wrote his OWN script--and since he's not buying votes to keep his armani covered ass in a cushy seat on the beltway, he's WAY more credible than the idiots there in the beltway.

Gravatar Oh, and Mark? You wanna claim simpatico with the islamofascists, and while spouting your opinions about this administration, that's fine--just keep the Hail Mary out of it--you may think it's okay to slander anything Christian in your bashing, but it's not and simply shows your ignorance while showing your total appeasement mentality for murderers.

Gravatar maybe DEMS should but NOT until after the GOP as a party apologizes for:

Newt Gingrich and Grover Norquist engineering the 1994 election to overturn the then-Democratic majority
the Contract on America
Newt shutting down the government because he was pissed President Clinton wouldn't speak to him on Air Force One
the Arkansas Project
the Whitewater scandal
the whole impeachment mess
Free Republic.com
Lucianne Goldberg
Sean Hannity
Rush Limbaugh
Ann Coulter
Bill O'Reilly
Fox News
running an unqualified hack for president in 2000
butterfly ballots in Palm Beach County
giving the Taliban $43 million in foreign aid
9/11
Katrina
the Iraq War
letting Osama bin Laden slip away at Tora Bora
Haditha
Abu Ghraib
the Chuck and Lynndie Show
Jerome Corsi
the rest of the Swift Boat Liars
Purple Heart band-aids
the Ohio election debacle
firing General Shinseki
Rudy Giuliani
Arnold Schwarzenegger
almost 4000 dead American soldiers
about a million dead Iraqi civilians

I could go on but you get the point: the GOP has FAR more to apologize for than we do.

Gravatar Oh please, grow up. Get some new material and stay on topic. If you bothered to do any research, here or anywhere else, you might find the truth lurking--but you couldn't afford that, could you?

Gravatar Make a noise, that is all you are making, you sure are not making any "points". Start providing proof and try to make what you say understandable instead of rambling like an idiot ok?

Gravatar Who said anything about apologizing? I simply pointed out something was offensive and asked it not be repeated.

Besides, notice how this moron wants us to apologize for his poster boy bubba, and all the truther crap in there? He needs to have his tinfoil hat re-fitted.
