To quote a line from 'The Stand':
'No great loss.'
If anyone wants to complain I gots no respect: he's not worth respect.
May this end his days in politics.

While I don't wish ill on anyone, it would be a way to legitimately get him off the house floor and keep him from doing any more damage. And before the screechers start, I'm talking about retirement, not something worse--I'm not like the screechers who rejoiced over Reagan's death or took delight in his alzheimers--we'll leave that nastiness to them. Who does MA have lined up in the wings to take his place?

Wouldn't that be an awesome coup to grab that seat--and hopefully it's a "real" republican not a dem lite republican!

No comment about Ted "I like 'em wet" Kennedy.
Apparently his drinking has caught up to him.
C'est la vie.

Oklahoma, that's not cool or necessary. We don't have to like the man or his policies. We also will not tolerate acting like the looney libs did when Reagan was diagnosed, Reagan died and Nancy was ill. It's uncalled for and just plain rude. We will not stoop to their irrational level.
As for your assertions regarding coke use, back it up with facts or don't post it. We clear?

OBAMA has already admitted cocaine usage when he was in his late 20's. Do you remember the Libs hammering our president about his drug usage during the Vietnam War? I don
’t have to prove nothing Obama has openly admitted it. And yes it's necessary to hammer the liberals. Good by TED you old DRUNK!

I, too, wish no personal harm to anyone; however, getting Ted out of the Senate would be one of the most productive events to occur in this troubled house.

I agree--he needs to retire with dignity and go relax with his family, his children and grandchildren. No one would think any less of him for that, and it would be honorable. I sincerely hope he has that option.
I was raised in an alcoholic household and know the damage done, and not just to the family members. The damage done to the alcoholic is horrible. It's not something I wish on my worst enemy, ever. That's why I won't tolerate taunting about it.
You can be angry at the man for his actions, but ultimately, at the end of the day, he is still a flesh and blood human being, full of faults as we all are and his family has had more than its share of tragedy. It doesn't make his actions in the past right, not by any means. But I do ask for some compassion for the humanity of him and what his family is going through. Unfortunately, they have had to get used to going through tragedy in a very public light. They're not even allowed to "grieve and worry, pace and cry", anything we take for granted at a time like this, in private. And that is truly sad.
I'll fight him tooth and nail when he's up and roaring, but I won't kick him when he's down.

That's it, Oklahoma--I deleted your last comment with no warning and I said I would not tolerate stooping to the level of the left or kicking him when he's down.
Fight him when he's up and roaring, not down. Period. No one disagrees with the damage and the attempted damage done. This is not the time or the place for vitriol.

Susan, excellent call. Although I loathe this man, I cannot abide by anyone's hatred; it is beneath those of us who wish to debate in honest, humanistic terms.

TJ, I made the call. I will not tolerate kicking someone when they're down, no matter who they are. We all know I have no love for the man, but for God's sake, let's get real here.
I did tell Susan what I was going to do, though, and she agreed.

I too, wish no-one ill will. But while I watched the media frenzy of Democrats praising how compassionate and wonderous Senator Kennedy has been on the senate floor, I thought how easily politicians forget the really important things in life and perhaps they should stop and remember the not so wonderous feats senator Kennedy has been capable of while not in the public eye. Let us all say a prayer for those unborn, unfortunate victims that he and his family directly affected without blinking an eye. What we reap we sow. He should have retired years ago.

I grew up in the era of Camelot.... I am so disappointed in how deluded we all were about the ideals this family set forth, and how they actually lived. Ted may believe in what he says and does. However, he is nothing but an obstructionest...and a liberal bent on harming all the values I hold dear. I hope his condition improves. I doubt his political views ever will. I hope he will never serve in the Senate again... The last Democrat I voted for was Carter. Possibly, the worst President of the modern age. The days of Camelot have long passed. We need practical, strong leaders who have the courage to tell the truth and do what is best for this nation.....Go JOHN MCCAIN.

We wish you, Senator Kennedy, stand firm, fight, and win this battle. We all want to see you recover and continue enjoy this marvelous gift that called life. We are all with you. You shall get over it.
Kennedy and his whole family have done everything from being tied with the mafia, booze running, screwing every woman then could and even causing the death of at least 1 women. His brother began the involvement of America in Vietnam and he wants millions of Mexicans to break our laws and reward them with our jobs and our country.
His father was Nazi (that supported the annihilation of the Jews during ww2 and supported it by active acts). We expect you, Senator Kennedy, to please forgiveness and pardon for your father.
We expect you, Senator Kennedy, to please forgiveness and pardon for your involvement in the drowning of Mary Jo Kopechne.
