Years ago East L.A. was a no-mans land. Even the LAPD didn't go in there without backup and armed to the teeth. Now it appears most of L.A. is becoming a gang haven where murder for fun or initiation reigns.

Man,I'm pretty sure I live in another country. Though I think calling it a battlefield is the wrong analogy as it lends the situation some dignity.
Simplistic though it is, and I don't buy into bumpersticker solutions, but I almost think we could take a lead from SA.
