Considering our OWN legislators are showing how incompetent they are with FISA, by passing a six month stop gap, then not being capable of passing a measure by Feb. 1, when it expired and having to pass an extension until the 15th, and STILL not having it done and trying (and FAILING) tio pass ANOTHER extension because they are so incompetent....I think the Iraqi's with decades and decades less experience are doing better than OUR politicians.
Good for them, perhaps Pelosi and Reid could get a couple pointers from Maliki...huh?

Indeed. It amazes me that any supporter of a Democrat dares to say a single word about lack of Iraqi political reconciliation when there is a complete lack of American political reconciliation on the same basic issues: national security, budgetary matters, and border security.
I think the Republican party should be pushing fiercely on the examples the Iraqis have set for a democracy in action over the Democrats' complete lack of leadership.
A political ad comparing what the Iraqis have done in the last 12 months and what the Democrats have done in the last 12 months I think would be rather embarrassing to the Democrats. And the Iraqi lawmakers are "under fire" daily in a very different way and still manage to accomplish more.
