OK. I have made a new post on this subject and have cross-posted back to here and Miss Beth's place.
The trackbacks are kicking my fanny so I gave up.
Now, when a jihadist troll hits the "flag as offensive" link on my blog, I know where to come and reload!! LOL!!
I've had my suspicions that these jihadists were infiltrating our media. I watched CBS news the other night and could have sworn the copy was written bt Osama himself. Good work on the tip, keep up the valuable work you provide us with.

I have found a simple solution. I write in such a way as to limit the number of people who actually visit my site, thereby keeping the commenting to a minimum. 
hehe, perhaps that's why I don't have a lot of trolls on my blog... that and the fact that it's relatively new...
I'm a great fan of "prove it" which typically limits the type of responses I get because they don't have proof except for parroting what's been told to them.
Seriously, if you think you've got a problem on your blog with trolls, as the owner you get their ips in the comment lists(invisible to other guests usually but not always)... go to http://www.dnsstuff.com and trace the ips... that will filter out some of them but there are still groups within the U.S. that you have to watch out for. One of the blogs I read often had a problem with someone from Canada which was fairly easy to track down, too, because the ip was included in the person's profile on that blog. Oh, and DNS stuff is still free although it asks for a membership now... just scroll down and you'll get the same tools that have always been there. The membership offers other tools not necessary for needs of tracking ips and visitors.
Accessing from the hotel while on my business trip, so this will cover all the comments.
Greg, ANYTHING that does not report what YOU like, you try to discredit, try showing some proof of where they spoke of rumor and it has been debunked, or stop trying to play that game ok?
Show us some URLS to prove ANY of what they have said has not been true!
