The church was never meant to be political; The good news, The gospel, is about God's saving grace through Jesus Christ! There is only one named as father and that's the one in heaven as even Jesus pointed, so why call a man "Father". Furthermore, using the pulpit for political expression is wrong. I beginning to wonder what is Obama about if he can tolerate a church that uses such expressions in politics when it should be using the pulpit to draw people to Jesus Christ's saving grace.
May God Forgive the ignorance of these people...
Amen

There's one thing I can't figure out.
Are there white people who are truly offended by this non-scandal, or is it just anti-Obama people acting offended? As far as I can tell, we have a lot of really self-righteous people in the U.S. We're just chomping at the bit for any hint of reverse descrimination to blame real descrimination on black people.
I mean, what is so threatening about this? Why can't black people be aloud to feel descriminated against if they, in fact, do? Do we fear the zulu warriors coming at us with spears? Come, on, people. We're all Americans and we can give minority groups a little space.
I guess the lesson here is you can never, ever under and circumstances mention that we have race problems in the US.
I really feel sorry for McCain, Clinton and Obama, who have to navigate this minefield.

After making a whip out of cords, he drove all of them out of the temple, including the sheep and the cattle. He scattered the coins of the moneychangers and knocked over their tables.
John 2:15
Does that sound apolitical to you? Did Jesus have any opinions on economic matters?
Those of you who believe in Jesus... talk amongst yourselves.

Whatever happened to people voting on the ISSUES.
Things like Economy(all people of all religions live in the same economy)
Things like Education(all people of all religions want their children to be educated)
Things like Healthcare(almost all people of most religions want to have access to healthcare) I did say almost all!
Things like War(almost all people of all religions either love or hate war)Some do not care one way or another since they will not be the ones to fight it.
Should we not consider these above "religion" which in any group of 30 people in the same religion there will not be unanimous agreement on their beliefs, when we vote?
Should we choose the person or those they are married to or those they know or those they did business with or those that associate with them because if that is the standard non of the candidates are worthy.
My opinon is this,
If you can look into their hearts then they dont need your vote because you are Jesus Christ or God.
Judge not lest ye be judged.

Barack Obama cannot be anywhere NEAR the White House.
This is a racial double standard. This is anti-American and anti-white hatred. This must not be tolerated. I cannot believe Obama has power over the mass media and he is buying the white house.

I can't get into Obama's head so i can only go on what I know.
1 - This has been Obama's church for 20 years
2- Every preacher of this church I have seen speaks in divisive hatred and are anti-white bigots
3- Obama sat and listened to similar speeches over the years and only distanced himself after running for the presidency.
I don't have to give an opinion because the facts lead to the obvious conclusions.

Its certainly enlighting to see what's going on inside of some/many Black churches today. I really don't get the benefits to the congregation, of the "blaming others" theme. Nor do I see the solutions, as suggested by Rev. Michael Pfleger, punishing others.
Still, the number one issue in this election is the USA economy which includes the impact of the Iraq situation/war. Someone's ability to pick churches and preachers has nothing to do with their ability to revive the economy. If you want to argue the judgement point, ask yourself how many friends do you have who are lousy with women or men, but geniuses at their work. Sometimes they even get married.

Eddien-One "issue" I consider when voting for a president, is their judgment or in this case, there lack thereof.
Wright, Pfleger, Rezko, Ayers, etc...
Then we have the idiotic gaffes, 57 states, wrong cities being named, Obama continuous changing of "words" and trying to redefine the definition of the word "preconditions, etc.............
This is all part of what people look at, rightly so, before choosing who they will vote for.

Ituri has long been plagued by fighting between rebel groups
A militia leader accused of ordering the killing of nine UN peacekeepers in the Democratic Republic of Congo earlier this year has been arrested.
Justin Ngole Dalo, known as Koliba, is the main suspect in the murder of the nine Bangladeshi soldiers in the eastern district of Ituri in February.
He is also accused of organising the murder of 100 civilians in the Ituri town of Gobu in January.
UN spokeswoman Rachel Eklou said Koliba was arrested by the Congolese army.
He was then transferred to a prison in the capital Kinshasa, she said.

"We have been putting pressure on the army to execute an existing arrest warrant for Koliba," she added.
Reuters news agency quotes government military sources as saying that Koliba was held at an army base in south-west Congo, where he was trying to join the country's new army.
Although DR Congo's five-year civil war officially ended in 2003, militia-inspired violence has continued in much of the country, especially in eastern regions.
The arrest warrant for Koliba, issued by an Ituri prosecutor in May, accused him of murder, kidnapping and extortion.

Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell publicly blamed 9-11 on the National Organization for Women and on America's tolerance for homosexuality. I don't suppose any friend or co-religionist with these public nut cases could possibly be elected to anything. But of course George Bush disavowed Falwell's and Robertson's ravings--quite promptly--and was re-elected, despite the hatred for America (we deserved 9-11!) that dripped from the pronouncements of those two nutballs.
See, it's only the other guy's pastor we have to worry about.

It is foolish or disingenuous for anyone to claim that the attitudes displayed by this 'church' and those like it are irrelevant to a decision as to whether Obama should be elected. He chose to 'worship' in this poisonous milieu for 20 years. I just read a quote yesterday from Tip O'Neil, an otherwise foolish man who had this one piece of wisdom: if you're in such a situation (church, etc) and someone says offensive things like Pfleger or whoever from the pulpit, you walk out.
Obama either drank the Kool-Aid and is lying about it, or pretended to drink the Kool-Aid to gain support from 'Black Liberationists' and their ilk. He's abortion-happy, as leftwing as they come, a foreign policy disaster waiting to happen, and I can only hope there's enough common sense left in this once-great nation to send him home to Chicago in the fall.

I can't imagine sitting in this "church" for 20 years and not hearing what is going on. I think Obama is a liar.
The problem here is that Obama is shocked everytime something like this gets exposed. He IS a member of this "church" and has been for more than 20 years. These speeches just didn't start happening now. Some people may try to write these things off as distractions but they tell more than most people realize about an individual.
These things are driving a racial wedge into America. This election will be about race because Obama and those who have guided him are making it so.

There are those who claim that TUCC
’s consistent racist anti-Americanism is a “non-scandal”, or a “non-issue”. Who are they kidding? Anyone who would say that racism is a non issue is either blinded by their own anti-White bias, or is desperately trying to cloud the issue. Racism in any form is intolerable. When anyone running for our nation’s highest office has displayed a consistent penchant for gathering friends and mentors who are anti-American and racist, we must conclude that those views are shared by that candidate.
