In every system there will be mistakes. But the FLDS doesn't come into court with clean hands either. They have sexually abused the children. Physically abused and destroyed their childhood.
I'm sorry, but 13 is no age for a child to be having a child. It might be to you, but not to me!

And when will people stop believing everything the read or hear. Use some common sense and critical judgment. Look at the photos of these children, they hardly look like they've been the victims of abuse and beatings.
Bart, cut the hyperbole crap. There is no genocide, they aren't being killed for God's sake. Nor is it slander when facts come to light. I'm not the biggest fan of CPS myself (people don't approve of the way I raise my children--you know, with morals, values, discipline--and they've been called on me 4 times and each time closed as unsubstantiated), but YOU need to look beneath the gloss of what's really going on.

Take your own advice about critical judgment--seems out of place when you're egregiously throwing around terms like genocide.
In my dealings with CPS they can't just take the kids without some sort of verifiable proof. That's not part of their manifesto. So, grow up here and address the post rather than your histrionics.

The removal and eventual destruction of the kids from the native villages was done in order to "help" them, (transfer them to communities with schools) even "the trail of tears" was first ordered as a program to assist the Cherokee people.
Honestly, who cares what the UN says? This is one of the most corrupt organizations in the world, one that, in almost all respects, sans money, abhors the US.
By the way, the UN would not exist if the US pulled out and/or stopped paying the lion's share of its funding, which is exactly what we should do.

One more thing, Christo: this resolution was in response to genocide of the Jews by the Nazis; the relevance of the transferring of children was to protect them from what, at the time, was real genocide. It is superceded by the US laws of child endangerment, rape, incest and other such atrocities that, as we are learning more about every day, indeed were committed on these children.

They live in beautiful new homes, own expensive machininery and equipment and new luxury cars!! Their leader is clearly not a prophet yet they still worship him!!?? He forbids his "followers" to have modern clothing and modern things, and the color red is forbidden, yet after he ran and hid from the law for two years, he was caught in a RED luxury car full of modern stuff and wearing modern clothing!! What a hypocrite!! All expenses for caring of the children, travel, court costs, legal fees, etc., etc., should be paid with cult resources!!
