The shocking and unbelievable cruelty the Austrian man has done to his daughter is out of proportion a human being can do and imagine.While no one can come up with an explanation how such a devil can exist among us, the magnitude and inhumanity of the crime have gone far beyond the power of words. The devilish father commited a crime, which already has blemished the Western civilization forever. Are human beings of our modern world marching towards the abyss of self-destruction? Perhaps,yes, with sexuality indulgence and terrorism from religion radicals.

You are correct in analyzing this man. However, here in the West, at least in America, our PC folks will blame his parents, neighbors, TV ad and shows, his dog, wife ... the fact that it was a Tuesday ... in other words, he was not responsible for his actions. Society is at fault here, and society (read taxpayers) will have to spend more money to make sure they the end justifies the means.

I am sure he is not responsible for his crimes, even though he hid them from his wife for 20-something years.

As a student of psychology, one can find numerous reason for such sick actions. However, one cannot find justification for the torture this woman, and her children, have endured.

Where is that train...?

Makes you wonder, didn't this man's wife ever wonder about that particular door in the basement since it couldn't be opened except by him. Didn't she ever seriously question what was behind it? Did she even ever go into the basement. You generally know the spaces in your home. Was she even allowed to go into the basement. Possibly there was such repression in that home caused by that man according to the reports, that his wife was afraid to question anything. Apparently he was a very good con and was good at living a double life, not to mention a good liar. Normally, one would notify the authorities out of some level of suspicion inspite of the fear. I agree with Sharon's words 'Lord God, heal that now free imprisoned woman and her children who were imprisoned with her and make them whole again, in Jesus name, I pray'.

I have a message for the family. I hope that they can get on with their lives and be happy. And may god be with you on your recovery and the rest of your lives. You have had 24 years with the devil, may the rest be filled with love , laughter, strength. As for the Father for 24 years he new what he was doing and he new it was wrong there should be no way out for what he has done.
