You're not the only Veteran around here, and AS a Veteran you should know FULL AND WELL how important it is for the government to make at least a SEMBLANCE of being a united front in the face of an enemy, rather than all the partisan crap.

In America, there can be no excuse for not following through with what a majority in our Legislative and Executive branch thought was the right thing to do - go into Iraq. The speeches and the face-time the Democrats got, back then - it was glory days for them - just read their speeches. Our leaders should never back down when the going gets rough. It's not what this country does.

For those who rely on November's elections as a call for withdrawal: I don't believe it. I do think Democratic leadership has picked up that cry and hue - been bullied into it - against their better judgement - but when was the last time Pelosi, Murtha or Reid had \"better judgement\"?

I heard it was Biden - \"shove it down Bush's throat\" - but it doesn't matter. It could have come from any of them.

Managing a war is never perfect. Read Band of Brothers to get a view of that. If we make a mistake, then we do the best we can to come up with better management. That's what George Bush is doing.
