. I live right next to the capital and there have been suicide bomb blasts within a couple of kilometers of my home a few times in the last few months. This was not the case before. I do not take that as a failure of the government. Its the rise of the extremist elements that are condemned by 90% of the Pakistani population.
More than 160 people are killed in about 15 suicide attacks after the siege and storming by security forces of Islamabad
’s of Red Mosque. This is what we have got for fighting against terrorism not for not doing anything about it. The Pakistan Army is engaged with militants (responsible for the suicide attacks) in at least 4 districts of the country. No the government was not sleeping its way through the partnership with the US.
The Chief Justice of the country was fired by the President back in March. A case in the Courts ensued and he was re-enstated by the court ruling. That was accepted whole heartedly by the government. After that the chief Justice and other judges started targeting the government on literally everything. Well.. Fair enough. But why just the government. There are other things also going wrong in the country. The court started taking Suo Moto notice of administrative issues and decisions. For one example, they freed some 60 odd people that the government had arrested after the bloody Red Mosque Operation in the capital. These people then took control of the Mosque again and re-started supporting (and very loudly supporting) terrorists and Suicide bombers.

Addressing a news conference in the camp office of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club, Amir Siddiqui, who was recently appointed to the job by the government on the orders of the Supreme Court, also announced support for militant Swat cleric Maulana Fazlullah.
He said Fazlullah had supported late Abdul Rashid Ghazi, who was killed in the military operation on Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa in July.
Yes.. One can argue that the emergency was put in to avoid any unfavorable decision by the Supreme Court. But how many would agree with a ruling by the same court to put back in place people responsible for taking hostages, running a parallel government and supporting suicide attacks and terrorism. Its far bigger then just the decision on the Presidents chair. Its about a country on the verge of falling into the hands of terrorist elements. Would anyone recommend further de-stabling the government at this point?? I will not.
Thats just what a Pakistani who lives in the middle of the whole mayhem feels.

When musharraf siezed power from nawaz sharif in 1999, he promised true democracy. I dont see no democracy 8 years later?? He wants the best of both worlds, to be the COA as well as president. So what if he brought about economic reforms? "the ends doesnt justify the means" ? its been nothing but martial law for Pakistan since a good portion of its existance. Thats the opposite of the founders vision for Pakistan.

First he took the blame for bombing on a certain madrassas which were clearly american planes invading pakistan airspace.. What followed? Suicide attacks. Second, he expelled the only thorn in his side that could've possibly lead to his removal Chief Justice Iftikhar.. which backfired after it triggered a wave of protests from lawyers, and later opposition parties and so he was reappointed 
his excuse? Judicial Misconduct? that is such a laugh..i could fill out pages and pages on ministers abusing their power but he had to pick on the CJ because he posed a threat to him.
and now, a few days before his verdict that could possibly rule out his ability to contest the elections to begin with..and he pulls this stunt. recently clashes in the tribal areas did not merit an emergency then, but clashes in swat do.
now he suspends civil liberties and compares himself to Abraham lincoln in doing so. There is a 70,000 Dollar fine and 3 years imprisonment to any media that criticizes him?? and he has all his opposition under house arrest including chairperson of human rights. all opposition has been wiped out and freedom of speech shoved down the drain. People talk of how the CJ jailing the IG for manhandling him was wrong? HAH! if somebody had manhandled Musharaf you wouldnt have heard of him after that let alone just jailing him.
Last, Japan, China, United states, Britain, europeon union and have either condemned it or stated their concern.. EVERYBODY is against this. Uncertainty is the worst thing for a country in terms of economic growth AND otherwise..and this isnt just the international community but the local one as well! every single person of the opposition is against it. Infact Honestly Speaking, I say all 99.999% Percent people Hate him. Let me be more precise all 160 million people here hate him except only the Ministers of his cabinet. He man has done evry wrong to pakistan and done more than one times. US, UK and all others must support pakistanis get rid of musharraf!
Just let me briefly describe it as:
If a railway accident happens in West, their Misiter resigns. In pakistan and India and in many other countries, If our national team loses a World cup, We guys change the captain and try a new one with his policies.
Then why not in Politics. Musharraf is a failed man. He seized the government in 1999 and imposed Emergency saying that the circumstaces are not good. He ruled 8 years by himself. and after 8 years, He man is back again at the position of 1999 and imposes the emergency again saying that the conditions are worse again.
This is a sort of Confession that he is Failed man and his policies have failed. We cannot be patient enough to give him another 5 or 8 years and then after that he would say that the conditions are severe again, So i must Impose Emergency.
According to me, All the nations must rise against him and Help us, Pakistanis to get rid of him.
